Best Bets & Odds for World Supercross Australian GP

SX1

Odds for the Event Winner

A mouth-watering lineup presents itself to Aussie Supercross fans with three world-class wildcards joining in the festivities. Eli Tomac is the pick of the riders, fresh off his triumph in Vancouver, and he bathed in glory on his last visit to Australia. Tomac crossed the line ahead of his peers in two of the three races in Canada and enters as the overwhelming favorite for another trip inside Victory Lane this Saturday.

Series leader, Ken Roczen, touches down in Queensland as the second favorite, providing value for money, but Tomac seems to have his number in recent encounters. However, the German took top honors in the season opener in Buenos Aires and prevailed in the second sprint race in British Columbia. Haiden Deegan saddles up for his second professional rendezvous on a 450 cc after finishing on the podium on his debut in Argentina, and Cooper Webb prepares for his Supercross debut after winning another series earlier on in the year.

Expert Pick

Ken Roczen’s value for money is tempting leading into the Australian GP, but we’re playing it safe and sticking with Eli Tomac. He delivered for us in Vancouver, winning two of three races, and he’s the defending World Supercross SX1 Champion. His odds are short for a valid reason at -112, but he’s potentially paying out $37.86 on a $20.00 wager.

H2H Odds

At +242 for his matchup with Eli Tomac, Championship leader Roczen offers excellent value for money. However, it’s too risky for our liking, as Tomac has consistently toppled the German in their World Supercross encounters in recent years. That said, we did see some pushback from the Champion in the last round, where he won the second SX1 race of the day.

SX2

Odds for the Event Winner

Two rounds into the 2025 campaign, and Max Anstie is making the SX2 class his own. The Briton has won every race this year, capturing the maximum complement of points (90) across six races. He’s battling world-class competitors, but right now there is a seismic dropoff between him and his peers.

Last year’s Champion Shane McElrath rides into the Cbus Super Stadium as the second favorite, trailing Anstie by 31 points in the standings. He started the term strong down in Buenos Aires with a runner-up return, but his campaign quickly went pear-shaped in Vancouver, where he settled for eighth place. Although the venue is different this year, McElrath returns Down Under, attempting to defend his Australian GP crown. Stepping down the podium, we greet Coty Schock, who has impressed in the first two rounds. He crossed the line in third in the season opener, but backed it up in Canada with a runner-up.

Expert Pick

Only one rider stood out as the expert pick in the SX2 class, and he’s a British racer, representing Team GSM. Max Anstie has started the series with a bang, winning every single race. He’s priced at -208 coming into the third round, possibly paying out $29.62 on a $20.00 wager.

H2H Odds

Cole Thompson up against Coty Schock is our pick of the matchups, where Thompson has the potential to sneak an upset. He has finished behind Shock in both rounds this year, but he has beaten the favorite in this head-to-head in two out of six races this year.
