Schedule and How to Watch World Supercross Cape Town

World Supercross draws to a close in 2025 this Saturday, December 13. The SX1 and SX2 riders venture south after last weekend’s Swedish GP to test their skills against the gale-force winds of Cape Town. Organizers have transformed the DHL Stadium from a grass rugby pitch into a challenging WSX track sure to entertain the locals. Racing hits the track from 7:00 pm CAT and runs through to 10:00 pm. Keep in mind that the East Coast of the United States is seven hours behind the Western Cape. Join in the festivities from South Africa, live on the World Supercross Recast.

Best Bets & Odds for World Supercross South African GP

SX1

Odds for the Event Winner

After a dismal run in Australia in round three, Jason Anderson bounced right back in Sweden to enter Victory Lane. He prevailed in two out of the three races in Stockholm to bag 44 of the 45 points on offer. The result in round four gave Anderson his second podium of the campaign and a 5.5 finishing average. Tied up with Anderson at the top of the table is Joey Savatgy, who arrives in Southern Africa after his best performance of the year.

The Quad Lock Honda rider entered Victory Lane in race one, last time out, eventually settling for second overall. Despite Savatgy’s lack of podiums, he boasts the second-best median on the start hill, after his teammate. Christian Craig disappointed us in round four, as we had tipped him for victory, based on his impressive consistency. His reliability is unquestionable, leading into the finale, and his tail is up with consecutive top threes under the bike. While we salute his second and third-place returns, we question whether he can shift gears and capture the round.

Expert Pick

Jason Anderson lands in South Africa as the rider to beat, and he showed us in Sweden that he means business. The Pipes Motorsports racer has posted three top fives this series, including two podiums. He looked ever so comfortable on his 450cc in Stockholm, grabbing the lead in the first corner of race three and never relinquishing it. Anderson lines up at -114 for the triumph, potentially paying out $37.54 on a $20 wager.

SX2

Odds for the Event Winner

Max Anstie proved that he’s human after all, finally losing a race this season. The Brit crossed the line in third place in race three last weekend, but was still good enough to bag the round. He’s entered Victory Lane in all four rounds this season, and only needs four points in Cape Town to clinch the Championship. Reigning SX2 Champion, Shane McElrath, enters the Green Point Stadium as the second favorite, after collecting his third podium of the term in the previous round. The Quad Lock Honda team member needs to up his game in the finale, as he sits in third in the title race.

Enzo Lopes delivered his performance of the series in Europe last weekend. He held on for the checkered flag in the main race and took second place in the round.  The result issued the Brazilian his second rostrum in 2025, lowering his average to 5.25 across the four meetings. Further down the odds sheet, we spot Coty Schock, who is surprisingly priced at +1564 for the win in Cape Town. He carries the second-best finishing average in the division at 3.5, and hasn’t finished outside of the top five in any round this year.

Expert Pick

Max Anstie has delivered for us throughout the 2025 WSX campaign, and we’re sticking with him for the final. He averages 1.0  this year and has proven difficult to overtake. A $20 wager on Anstie at -327 might payout $26.11. It’s not much, but it s difficult to back another rider when he’s this dominant.
