Summer is upon us, and discs are taking flight across the old continent. This weekend, the world’s best players set up shop in Estonia for the second major on the calendar. MPO World Standings leader Gannon Buhr tees off in the PDGA European Open as the pre-event favorite, holding a two-event winning streak. Over in the FPO department, punters are behind Holyn Handley, but Silva Saarinen is the in-form player who has proved unbeatable in recent rounds. Discover the best bets and markets for major number two in 2026.
Disc golf fans are salivating at the thought of four consecutive days of PDGA European Open play. Players take over Tallinn from Thursday, June 18 through Sunday, June 21. The event in Estonia means an early start for those of us stateside, with the FPO bracket first off at 3:00 am EDT daily, followed by their MPO counterparts at 8:30 am. As always, you can follow every round of play live on the Disc Golf Network, and find the latest scores on the dedicated European Open event page.

PDGA European Open Pre-Event Odds
MPO Event Winner Odds
After 10 starts in 2026, Gannon Buhr has racked up a 50% win average and has only finished outside of the top two twice. He starts the European Open with a 474.11-point lead in the standings and has barely put a foot wrong this term, and we can’t see him changing that now. On the opposite end of the form spectrum, Richard Wysocki delivered his first top-five performance in three events last time out. He took top honors in the season opener, but has struggled to maintain the momentum, ending outside of the top 10 in 44.4% of all starts this term.
Calvin Heimburg entered the winner’s circle in late May, but he failed to back it up, finishing 30th in the Northwest Championship. One-time winner this season, Niklas Anttila returns to the course for the first time since the Barbasol. His sole triumph was the Champions Cup, the first major of the year, but he’s battled in 2026. The Finn has finished outside of the top 10 in four of his seven tournaments this year.

MPO Expert Pick
With five victories and three runner-ups in the bag, Gannon Buhr is the wise choice for our expert pick this round. He is cruising into the European Open with a 2.2 finishing average across his 10 starts, the best in the MPO division. He tees off at +187 for the win, potentially offering $57.40 on a $20.00 bet.
Top 3 Odds
Boasting an 80% top-three return so far, Gannon Buhr unsurprisingly starts with negative odds for a podium at the Rockstar course. Richard Wysocki sits at +195 after securing two top threes this season. However, he’s also dropped outside of the top 20 in two of his past five starts. He showed promise in his previous event, grabbing fourth place at the Northwest Championship.
Isaac Robinson tees off as the best value pick in this market at +251. He’s placed second in 50% of his last four events, and recorded three top threes across the spring. The year has proven arduous for Calvin Heimburg, delivering a mixed bag of results. He’s dropped out of the top 10 in half of his 10 events, but still managed a triumph and a runner-up. Heimburg returns to the venue where he clinched the European Disc Golf Festival title just under 12 months ago.

Top 5 Odds
Niklas Anttila has already lifted a trophy this season, but he’s up-and-down. He’s only appeared in seven events on tour and fallen out of the top 10 in four of them. We last saw Anttila tee off at the Barbasol, where he finished 12th, but he’s back on his home continent this week. One place above Anttila sits Calvin Heimburg, who arrives in Estonia with a 40% top-five return this year. He’s achieved the feat three times in his past five attempts.
Isaac Robinson has largely impressed us this year. He’s consistently troubled the leaderboard and finished inside the top five in 50% of his 10 starts. He’s fresh off a runner-up finish in Oregon. Moving on to our sleeper, Sullivan Tipton leads the way at +356. The Alabamian has closed out three tournaments among the first five players. But he’s found himself outside of the top 10 in 66.7% of his nine events.

Top 10 Odds
Local lad, Mauri Vilimann tees off in Tallinn at +116 for a top 10, despite only registering one in six starts. He’s dropped outside the top 20 in 66.7% of his events this year. We think Adam Hammes is offering better bang for buck. He boasts seven top 10s in 11 appearances, and is priced down the list at +143. One area of concern is that he’s missed the threshold in this market in three of his past six events.
Anthony Barela enters the conversation at +123. He is oozing confidence in this market, having recorded three top-10 finishes in his previous four tournaments. Another consistent top 10 performer is Luke Taylor. He’s fresh off consecutive top 10s. He’s notched up four across the campaign, but he’s also slipped beyond the top 20 in five tournaments. Capping off our contenders in this market is Kyle Klein at +176. The Michigan native carries a 50% top 10 record this year, with two of them coming in his past five competitions.

FPO Event Winner Odds
As the season moves to Europe, Holyn Handley finds herself in the familiar position of FPO DGPT World Standings leader. She’s captured two titles this term, averaging 3.67, and enters after a runner-up finish in Oregon. While Handley leads the Championship, Silva Saarinen is coming in hot, off the back of consecutive triumphs, and is now third in the standings. The Finn is a three-time victor in 2026, and returns to the course where she claimed the silverware in 2025.
Saarinen’s compatriot, Eveliina Salonen, is another DGPT victor this year, clinching the Kansas City Wide Open. She only featured in five events stateside this spring, with a worst finish of tied for 17th at QCC. Another formidable Finn, Henna Blomroos, arrives in Estonia with a DGPT victory in the bag. She only featured in five events during the Spring, finishing inside the top two in 60% of her showings. Missy Gannon can never be ruled out, but she’s yet to bag a victory this year, despite a respectable report card.

FPO Expert Pick
As the defending champion at this course, and with her current winning form, we can’t look beyond Silva Saarinen for the victory. She’s thrived in the USA this year and averages 2.2 in her previous five tournaments. The sportsbooks have Saarinen at +244 to get the job done, translating into a potential payout of +244 for a $20 wager.
Top 3 Odds
We touched on Henna Blomroos‘ form earlier, and she’s our go-to pick for a top three in Estonia. The Finn has only featured in five events this year, winning one and grabbing second twice. But before we get excited, there is the little matter of her two 23rd-place finishes in her first and last events in the States. Those blemishes aside, she’s looked like a class act this term.
Missy Gannon is yet to register a top three, but her averages paint a picture of consistency. She’s sitting at 5.4 across eight starts, including three fourth-place returns. Eveliina Salonen enters the European Open with a single top three in the bag this year. She’s far off the best we saw from her in 2025, but remains a threat for a top three. Kat Mertsch starts the European season with one top three, but she’s battled for form beyond that.

Top 5 Odds
Despite her top five performances earlier in the spring, sportsbooks have Henna Blomroos at +120 for a top five. Ella Hansen is the next standout pick, after securing two top fives in her last three tournaments. She averages 9.89 across the year, worsened by her three trips outside the top 10. Kat Mertsch is one of the few FPO players to have played every DGPT event this year. She’s made the top five cut in three tournaments, but consistency has remained a challenge, ending outside the top 10 in seven outings.
We’ve been tracking Rebecca Don’s progress in recent weeks, and she’s come a long way since that tie for 36th in the Champions Cup. She enters the second major weekend of the year with one top five to her name, and she finished sixth in the NWC. Staying with the longshots, Sintija Klezberga earned her maiden top five of the year at the WACO; it’s her only scalp in this department, but she also has a sixth and a seventh-place finish in the bag, in just six competitions.

Emily Weatherman might feel hard done by to tee off at +460 for a top 10. The Texan has registered five top 10s this campaign, with four of them arriving in her previous four events. She’s in sensational form and offers outstanding bang for buck in this market. Another sleeper in this market is Sintija Klezberga, who boasts a 66.7% top 10 return in her six DGPT starts.
Catrina Allen is priced at +119 to finish among the first ten players, but she’s missed the cut in her last four events. Four seems to be her number, as it’s the same number of top 10s she’s carded this season. Rebecca Don’s name reappears, this time as a top 10 pick. She tees off in the European opener with a fifth and sixth-place finish in her past two starts.

MPO H2H Odds
Adam Hammes and Mauri Vilimann battle in the pick of our European Open MPO matchups. The duo has only met on six occasions this term, with each having beaten the other three times. It’s a close encounter where Hammes starts as the underdog, but holds a 12.5 finishing average across 11 tourneys in 2026. Vilimann has only reported for duty six times this year, averaging 21.83.

Kat Mertsch starts the European season with one top three, but she’s battled for form beyond that.
swipe to see more

Top 10 Odds
