F1 Canadian Grand Prix Odds

Event Winner Odds

Drivers’ Championship leader Oscar Piastri continues to soar, after securing his eighth consecutive podium of the campaign. The Melbournian has only missed out on a top-three spot once this season, in the opening round in his hometown. Five of his trips onto the podium have seen him stand at the top of the platform, propelling him to a 10-point lead over his British teammate in the standings.

Lando Norris is playing second fiddle to his colleague, Oscar Piastri, despite entering 2025 as the pre-season favorite. The Bristolian boasts the best finishing average in Formula 1 this year at 2.11 after eight races, carding eight podiums, and winning twice (Melbourne and Monaco). Max Verstappen lines up in French Canada searching for his fourth consecutive checkered flag on this track. He’s struggled by his standards this year, securing only four podiums, including two wins, despite a recurring challenge with balance on low-speed corners.

Oscar Piastri prepares for the race weekend, featured in Best Bets: F1 Monaco Grand Prix Pre-Event Odds Analysis.

Can Oscar Piastri secure his sixth win of the season in Canada?

Podium Odds

McLaren drivers Piastri and Norris are the firm favorites to finish on the podium, after doing so in eight out of nine races this year. Piastri ended ninth in the season opener after spinning off the track, while Lando missed the podium by one place in Saudi Arabia. Other than those races, both drivers have consistently found themselves part of the prize-giving ceremony.

George Russell and Max Verstappen tie for the third most podiums this season, collecting four apiece. Russell last entered the top three in Miami, while Verstappen took top honors in Emilia-Romagna. Since then, they’ve both settled for the minor placings. “Mad Max” averages 3.78 across nine rounds, while his English nemesis is at 4.78. Charles Leclerc is throwing his hat into the ring for a podium bet this weekend, after consecutive podiums in the previous two races, averaging 4.2 in his last five appearances.

Can Lando Norris retain his untarnished top 6 record after Montreal?

Odds for the Top 6

Verstappen settled for the final point on offer in Spain, after copping a 10-second penalty for colliding with Russell. It’s the first time the Dutchman has found himself outside of the top six this season, leaving Norris as the sole driver to enjoy the honor. The calm Australian Piastri only found himself outside of the top six in the season opener, and has crossed the line inside the threshold in every race since, making him an obvious choice for a top-six return in Canada.

Former teammates George Russell and Lewis Hamilton are regular top-six performers, with the former recording seven in nine Grands Prix. Sir Lewis only has four top-six performances under the hood this year, three of them coming in his previous three outings. Hamilton and Russell have recorded an average of 6.0 in their last five Sunday starts.

Odds for a Top 10 Finish

The three leading drivers in the Championship race start as the only competitors to secure a top 10 in every start this season. Verstappen just kept his record alive in the Spanish Grand Prix, finishing in 10th, while Piastri crossed the line in ninth place in Melbourne. “Last Lap Lando” is the only driver on the grid to have crossed the line comfortably inside the cut line this year, with a worst finish of fourth.

Alexander Albon endured a disappointing day in the last round, recording his first DNF of the season. However, the Thai driver boasts seven top tens in nine starts this season, averaging 7.63 in the races he’s finished. Isack Hadjar starts as one to watch this weekend with five top 10s to his name, including three in his previous three races, averaging 8.6 in his last five starts.

Lance Stroll isn’t a common feature in our best bets section, but he thrives in his home Grand Prix with a 100% top 10 record in his last four starts. The Canadian’s teammate, Fernando Alonso, is also starting to impress in his Aston Martin, claiming his first top 10 of the year last time out. Credit is also due to Nico Hulkenberg, who excelled in Catalonia to earn a fifth-place finish in his Sauber.

Fastest Qualifier Odds

McLaren dominates the fastest qualifier competition this season, snatching six pole positions. Oscar Piastri lines up in Montreal, with the highest count to his name at six, followed by “Mad Max” with three. Lando is the only other driver this year to take pole, and as it stands, it’s tough to see anyone else getting past the three Driver Championship contenders this weekend.

Mercedes number one, Russell, and his Ferrari rival Leclerc are the only other drivers to come close to pole this season. Russell ended qualifying in second in Shanghai, while the Monagasque driver found himself in the second spot on the grid in Bahrain and his home Grand Prix.

Odds for the Constructor Winner

Red Bull is the reigning Constructors’ Champions in Quebec, winning the last three editions of the Canadian Grand Prix. Mercedes and Ferrari are next in line with one victory apiece, before the two-year hiatus at the venue in 2020 and 2021.

Current events paint a different picture, with McLaren the in-form team and favorites to win their eighth Constructor trophy this season. The Surrey establishment, last bagged a win in “The Great White North” was 13 years ago, when Lewis Hamilton still represented the Papayas.

Odds for the Midfield Winner Race

Interesting moves were made in the midfield in Spain, where veteran Nico Hulkenberg topped the standings, with a fifth-place finish. His youthful teammate Gabriel Borteletto put in his best performance in F1 to date, finishing 12th. The Williams duo struggled in the previous round, with Albon retiring after colliding with Liam Lawson and incurring a 10-second penalty. That put the hopes of the British team in Carlos Sainz’s hands, but he finished outside of the points, greeting the stewards in 14th.

Looking forward to Montreal, it’s the youth versus experience with Fernando Alonso and Isack Hadjar the ones to watch in the midfield. “El Nano” produced his race of the year in front of his home crowd, claiming his first top 10 of 2025. His tail is up as he returns to a track where he’s finished inside the top 10 in his last three visits, standing on the podium in 2023. Hadjar is living up to the hype, averaging 9.38 in all Sunday starts, the second-best return in the midfield, behind Albon on 7.63.
