Corey Day

+703

Brad Sweet

Kyle Larson (+231)

Co-founder of High Level Racing, Kyle Larson starts the Californian leg sitting second in the series. Larson fought valiantly in Las Vegas, but in the end, couldn’t get past an in-form Corey Day. Despite his runner-up in “Sin City,” Larson remains the bettors favorite as he returns to his home state.

Corey Day (+703)

Corey Day started 2025 on a high when he pushed his sprint car to the limit around the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Day saw off legends and High Limit Racing co-owners Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson to top the series after the first round.

Brad Sweet (+976)

Defending series Champion Brad Sweet finished third in the first race of the season, giving him 68 points toward his title defense. Sweet started the feature in eleventh and clawed his way back onto the podium, highlighting clean racing lines, and track knowledge.

Ryan Timms

+1427

Tyler Courtney

Rico Abreu (+1085)

Vegas didn’t go according to plan for 2024 eight-time winner Rico Abreu. The third-best High Limit driver last season finished the season opener in tenth and sits in the same position on the standings. Rico returns home to California for the next three races, giving him a familiar base to get his season on track.

Ryan Timms (+1427)

Ryan Timms has shown glimmers of hope in other sprint car racing formats in 2025, finishing inside the top 10 in three feature races. However, he endured a testing HLR season opener last weekend, finishing in 14th. His current position on the standings is already four spots higher than the Oklahoman finished the previous season.

Tyler Courtney (+2315)

Last season’s runner-up-up Tyler Courtney accelerated into the season with a promising fourth-place return in the feature in Nevada.  The six-time winner in 2024 is an attractive pick at +2315 odds, despite his consistency and previous impressive record.

Expert Pick

Corey Day was exceptional at the Dirt Track at LVMS a week ago. Backing his performance up with more wins in California will prove challenging against stars like Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson. Speaking of Larson, he’s our expert pick heading into the triple-header out west. He carries +231 pre-event odds offering a potential return of $66.20 off a $20 bet.
