John Crimble (+850)

Despite leading the UTB standings, John Crimble has faltered recently, considering his explosive start to the season. Since winning in St. Louis, his best finish was fifth, two weeks back in Albany. His average score of 89.30 is only surpassed by PBR legend Jose Vitor Leme with a 89.50.

Dalton Kasel (+850)

Dalton Kasel is only one of three Americans to win a UTB event this season. Kasel held on for victory in Wichita by 0.50 points over Sage Kimzey, backing up his second in Tucson and fourth in Ontario. The Muleshoe hero is arguably the most consistent rider this season, but can he close the gap on John Crimber in Chicago.

Julio Cesar Marques (+1200):

Another Brazilian in winning form is Julio Cesar Marques, who claimed an event buckle two weeks back in Albany. His previous best was a runner-up finish behind Crimble in St. Louis. Marques has the same ride percentage as Divino but showed what he is capable of in his victory in Albany, completing 100% of his rides.

Lucas Divino (+1800):

Brazilian Lucas Divino bucks into action off the back of a win in New York last weekend, adding to his podium finish in Ontario. He has moved up to fourth on the overall standings. His overall ride percentage is slightly concerning, sitting at 55.56%. But, he improved on that in the “The Big Apple,” producing a 75% return.

Derek Kolbaba (+2000).

Washington local Derek Kolbaba closed out 2024 in style, winning his first event buckle in seven years. The Manchester victory has breathed new life into the veteran, who has battled since 2017 to return to the winner’s circle. Derek backed up his win with fifth place in New York, helping him to start 2025 off on the right foot.

Keyshawn Whitehorse (+2000)

Keyshawn Whitehorse is an outsider for Chicago, but he has been on our radar recently. He has the second-highest ride percentage this season, which is just under double his career average. Whitehorse returned a seventh-place finish in Manchester in December and backed it up with a podium last weekend.

Expert Pick

Dalton Kasel is our expert pick for PBR UTB Chicago 2025. The Texan has finished inside the top five in 50% of his events this season, including a win in Wichita. While Crimble is receiving all the attention, Kasel is slowly closing the gap at the top of the riders’ standings.

The PBR arrives in Chicago to warm up the city, with a tight battle on the cards. Championship leader Crimble has not produced any significant results since his victory in St. Louis. Second placed Dalton Kasel has halved the gap between him and Crimble since the middle of December, positioning him for a title challenge. Can Kasel continue his consistent form or will we see an outsider like Keyshawn Whitehorse rise to the occasion?
