How Does The USAC Smackdown XIV Work
Preliminary Races
Sprint car drivers contest the preliminary races on Thursday and Friday night, where points are awarded for performance. The eight highest scoring drivers automatically secure their spot in Saturday’s $30,000 Feature race, while the remaining competitors enter qualifying on Saturday.
Qualifying Races
Four qualifying races set off, with the top two from each progressing to the main event. The drivers who finish third to sixth progress to the semifinals, and the remainder enter the C-Main.
Grid Positions
The top eight drivers from the preliminaries face off in a King of the Hill bracket-style showdown event on Saturday to determine the first four rows. Driver 1 faces 8, 2 takes on 7, 3 meets 4, and 5 tackles 6 in a two-car, three-lap format. The losers in round one move to the third and fourth row, while losing semifinalists secure a spot in the second row. That leaves two positions right at the front for our finalists.
Drivers who competed in qualifying or the C-Main event will make up the remaining spots on the start line.

Event Winner Odds
With Justin Grant returning from injury and Cummins dipping in form, Logan Seavey is heavily favored for victory on night one at Kokomo Speedway. The latter driver is a five-time victor this campaign, securing three in his last 10 appearances. He’s also racked up a 60% podium rate in the same period, highlighting his consistency on the dirt. Kyle Cummins leads the standings after a stellar start to the year, but he’s developed a habit of unpredictability, averaging 10.2 in his previous 10 outings.
Kevin Thomas Jr. starts the Smackdown XIV in sensational form, boasting a 4.60 finishing average in his past 15 races. He’s stood on the rostrum eight times in that period and entered Victory Lane twice. C.J. Leary carries the odds of an outsider, but has recently impressed with three top fives in five starts, prevailing once at Circle City Raceway in late July.
