Keselowski sells stake
RFK Racing will turn Brad Keselowski into a passive investor as part of a mutual agreement that changes his role with the organization. Keselowski plans to sell his 20% ownership stake, and the move will pull him away from the team’s governance, competition oversight and board duties. RFK Racing said Keselowski will also leave the No. 6 Ford after the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. The company thanked Keselowski for his contributions during his time as both a driver and co-owner.
RFK rejects offer
The ownership change follows another major development around Keselowski’s future with the team. Earlier in October, he said he made an offer to buy RFK Racing outright, but Roush Enterprises and Fenway Sports Group rejected the unsolicited bid. RFK Racing’s announcement frames the new setup as mutual. It also leaves room for him to keep racing beyond that point. The change closes one chapter in a partnership that began with him joining the team as a driver and co-owner, without ending his link to the sport or to the Cup Series.
Keselowski plans ahead
Keselowski is not ready to retire, and he intends to stay in the NASCAR Cup Series. He has said there are multiple Cup Series opportunities available for 2027 and beyond, which leaves his next stop open while he sorts through options. RFK Racing said he will be free to continue his driving career with another organization after the 2026 season, so the path forward is already built into the agreement. His 2027 destination remains unconfirmed. He plans to keep driving. For RFK Racing, the decision ends his active role in team leadership. For Keselowski, it opens the door to a new phase in the Cup Series.
