Poole’s departure from Alpha Prime
Brennan Poole will leave Alpha Prime Racing after the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season, closing out a three-year run that began when he joined the team in 2024. Alpha Prime Racing offered him a 2027 contract, but Poole chose to pursue another opportunity instead of taking it. The move changes the No. 44 program after the season. Poole’s next stop remains unknown. He has not said where he will race in 2027, and Alpha Prime Racing has not announced a replacement for the seat he will leave behind.
Alpha Prime Racing records
Poole’s time in the No. 44 car gave Alpha Prime Racing its best statistical run with that entry. He became the team’s all-time leader in starts, top-five finishes, top-10s and top-20s. The No. 44 team also set Alpha Prime Racing records during his tenure with 95 starts, three top-five finishes, 11 top-10s and 64 top-20s. The group still has one more full season to add to those numbers, and it is on pace to finish top 20 in both owner and driver points for the third straight year.
Alpha Prime Racing’s 2027 plans
Alpha Prime Racing is preparing to switch from Chevrolet to Ford in 2027, a change that will bring a new manufacturer to the organization. It also said plans for the No. 44 car and its 2027 driver lineup will be announced in the coming weeks, which keeps the immediate future open even as the broader direction becomes clear. For Alpha Prime Racing, the offseason will center on the manufacturer change and its 2027 driver lineup. The path ahead is still taking shape, but the ending to this one is now set.
