Bottas remained under Cadillac’s 2027 watch as team evaluated pace

NXTbets Pro | Published On: October 27, 2026

Bottas contract outlook

Cadillac continued to evaluate Valtteri Bottas’ race pace for 2027, but Dan Towriss said Bottas and Sergio Perez were under contract. Bottas said Cadillac had already reassured him that his deal was “all OK” for 2027. He pushed back on the rumor that he could lose his seat after next season and said he was not worried about it. The evaluation remained focused on Bottas’ pace and performance.

Cadillac pace check

Towriss pointed to the race-to-race swings that shaped Cadillac’s view of Bottas. He said Bottas had some races in which he was off the pace, was nearly lapped in Singapore and then delivered a stronger performance at Circuit of the Americas. Lawrence Barretto said Cadillac still considered Bottas to be doing what was expected of him after the United States Grand Prix. Cadillac was weighing those performances as it evaluated Bottas’ pace for 2027.

Driver lineup questions

Cadillac had not locked in its long-term driver picture, and Marcin Budkowski would not confirm whether Bottas and Perez would remain full-time drivers in 2027. He said the team would announce driver-lineup decisions when the time was right. Several drivers and managers had already contacted Budkowski, while Colton Herta and Esteban Ocon had been linked as possible alternatives for Bottas. Bottas and Perez had originally joined Cadillac on long-term deals, and Towriss had said both remained under contract. Bottas said he was comfortable with where he stood, while Cadillac continued to consider its driver-lineup decisions.
