Cadillac Unveils Stars-and-Stripes Livery for British GP Debut

Cadillac Livery

Cadillac unveiled a special red, white and blue livery for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, and the one-off look replaced its usual monochrome scheme for the MAC-26. The team tied the design to the Fourth of July weekend and the 250th anniversary of American independence, using the tribute to underline its American identity on Formula 1’s big stage. The car carried a dark blue front section and stars on the engine cover, while the broader stars-and-stripes theme ran across the garage dressing, driver helmets and team kit. Cadillac built the package as a historical nod as much as a visual change, turning its British Grand Prix presence into a rolling display of national branding. Silverstone carried extra weight for the team too, since Cadillac has a base next to the circuit and brought the tribute to a place that sits close to its day-to-day operations.

Cadillac Voices

Cadillac chief executive Dan Towriss said the weekend offers a chance to show pride in representing the United States in Formula 1, and he framed the effort as part of the team’s push to introduce the series to new audiences. Team principal Graeme Lowdon said Cadillac wants a cleaner outing at Silverstone after a difficult Austrian Grand Prix, and he pointed to the work the team has done on issues along with the positive upgrades it saw in Spielberg. Sergio Perez also backed the special look, saying he hopes it gives American fans another reason to celebrate. Valtteri Bottas and Perez wore matching helmets for the event, which kept the tribute consistent from the car to the drivers themselves. The team has used the launch of its Formula 1 program to shape a clear identity early in its run, and this Silverstone effort pushed that message through every visible part of the operation.

Cadillac Paddock

Cadillac will carry the celebration beyond the track and showcase it in New Orleans during the Cadillac Formula 1 Team x Jim Beam Pit Stop BBQ at ESSENCE Fest. The activation extends the Silverstone tribute into a wider fan-facing moment and gives the team another way to connect its Formula 1 entry with American culture. Cadillac’s debut earlier this season at the Australian Grand Prix set the starting point for that campaign, and the British Grand Prix now gives the team another platform to reinforce its place on the grid. Cadillac was not the only team to lean into heritage at Silverstone. McLaren revealed a heritage-inspired special livery for the race and Williams refreshed its Union Jack-themed design. Williams drivers Carlos Sainz Jnr and Alexander Albon wore matching special overalls to match the car, which gave the paddock a strong visual theme around national and historic motifs for the weekend.
