Chase Sexton, Kawasaki part ways after one season

NXTbets Pro | Published On: October 24, 2026

Chase Sexton split

Sexton and Kawasaki parted ways after one season, closing a brief partnership that produced two 450 Supercross wins, three podium finishes and three heat race victories. He made 16 starts on the Kawasaki KX450, won at Anaheim 2 and Salt Lake City, and finished sixth in the Supercross championship. The separation leaves his next destination unannounced and brings an early end to a partnership that began when Kawasaki announced his signing.

Kawasaki season

Sexton’s 2026 campaign ended after a June crash during press day at Thunder Valley National left him with a torn ACL. The injury came after he had built his season record, so the campaign closed with a mix of success and frustration. The crash cut the year short and became a defining part of how his Kawasaki season ended.

Chase Sexton future

Both sides ended the relationship with mutual respect. Kawasaki thanked Sexton for contributing to its list of Supercross winners and wished him the best for the 2027 season. Sexton thanked the team in a social media post and wished it well. That exchange matched the tone of a partnership that delivered on-track results even though it lasted only one season. His destination for the 2027 season has not been announced, leaving the next chapter open.
