Sheldon Creed Won Fleetio 200, Giving Haas First Chase Victory

A breakthrough for Haas
Sheldon Creed won the Fleetio 200 at Darlington Raceway and delivered Haas Factory Team its first Chase victory. The result gave Creed his second career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series win and his second win of the season. It also came in his 161st series start. Creed ran strong through the closing stages and beat Corey Day to the line by 2.961 seconds. Brent Crews finished third, Sammy Smith took fourth and Austin Hill rounded out the top five. Creed gave credit to the No. 00 Haas car, saying the team kept improving it as the race unfolded.
Creed took control
Creed moved to the front on Lap 94 during a pit road exchange and never gave the lead back. He paced the final 53 laps and turned the late stages into a controlled run to the finish. The win came after a race that kept shifting through the opening and middle segments. Justin Allgaier won Stage 1 and Anthony Alfredo claimed Stage 2, but Creed and Haas delivered the strongest finish when it mattered most. That late-race pace gave Creed the edge.
Chase standings shifted
The victory also changed the Chase picture. Creed climbed to second in the standings and sat seven points behind Allgaier. That move gave Haas momentum at a key point in the postseason run. Allgaier still held the top spot, even after hitting the wall late and finishing 17th. Rajah Caruth’s day also turned sour in the closing laps when a fuel issue slowed him and dropped him to 26th. Creed, though, left Darlington with the result he needed most, a race win, a stronger spot in the standings and a clear boost for his team’s title push.
