Aldeguer misses Sepang
Fermin Aldeguer will miss the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang after the crash at Mandalika left him with a fracture at the base of the first metacarpal bone in his right hand. He has undergone successful surgery but remains sidelined for Round 19. His Malaysian absence will be his second consecutive Grand Prix absence after Phillip Island.
Aldeguer injury update
The recovery remains the focus as the weekend approaches, with Aldeguer still away from the grid.
Lecuona steps in
Iker Lecuona will again step in as Aldeguer’s substitute for Gresini at Sepang, after also substituting for him in Australia. Lecuona was set to contest his fourth straight race, a run that included the Superbike season finale at Estoril and his appearances at Sepang and Phillip Island. He was the 2026 WorldSBK runner-up. Aldeguer remains out, while Lecuona takes his place for Malaysia.
