Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing laid out the points path to the $25,000-to-win Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial, the 16th annual edition of the race in Wheatland, Missouri. The event will use the same three-day format recently used at the Gold Cup Race of Champions and Skagit Nationals, giving the show a structure that puts the early nights and the finale on the same competitive track. That format sets the stage for a race week built around qualifying speed, heat race results and points accumulation, with every step feeding into Saturday’s championship program.
Thursday-Friday qualifying
Thursday and Friday will each feature single-group qualifying and four inverted heats, with the A-Main on both nights lined up by points with an eight-car inversion. Combined points from Thursday and Friday will determine which drivers move forward, so every lap in the first two nights carries weight. The setup gives teams a clear route to the front and forces them to balance speed with consistency. A strong qualifying effort can help a driver climb the board, but the points total across both nights will decide who keeps advancing and who has more work to do before the finale.
Saturday championship field
After Friday, the top four drivers in overall points will lock into Saturday’s finale, which pays $25,000 to win. The rest of the field will go through four qualifiers to fill the championship A-Main, keeping the last night open to more than just the four drivers already locked in. High Limit also said all full-field events will pay championship points, giving teams reason to attack each night with the same urgency. The series said its standard provisionals will be available each night for series points only, adding another layer to a format that rewards steady results across the full three-day schedule.
