HP sponsorship extends
Hendrick Motorsports has extended its relationship with HP Inc. through the 2029 NASCAR Cup Series season, keeping HP as the primary sponsor of William Byron and the No. 24 Chevrolet for two races each year. The move keeps a partnership in place that began in October 2022 and then expanded to Byron and the No. 24 team in 2023. HP branding will stay on the car, fire suits, apparel and equipment across the season, giving the company a visible presence beyond the couple of races it headlines. Hendrick Motorsports said the agreement fits its operation because the team uses HP technology throughout its business, from HP Z workstations to other high-performance hardware and solutions. The extension gives the organization a longer runway with a partner it already uses in day-to-day work.
Byron and No. 24
Byron’s sponsorship with HP comes with a clear racing backdrop, and the driver pointed to the results that have followed since the partnership reached his car. He said the relationship has lined up with consecutive Daytona 500 wins in 2024 and 2025, along with the 2025 Cup Series regular-season championship. That kind of association gives the sponsor more than simple logo placement. It ties HP to Byron’s recent results and to the team’s work in major moments. For Byron and the No. 24 group, the deal also keeps continuity in place. The same sponsor that started with Hendrick Motorsports in 2022 and later moved onto the No. 24 team will remain part of the program through the next several seasons. In a sport where sponsor turnover can change a car’s look and identity quickly, the extension keeps the same brand on the same entry and preserves a partnership that both sides have already built.
Hendrick technology
Hendrick Motorsports framed the renewal as more than a marketing move. The team said the deal reflects a strong fit between the two companies, with HP serving as both a sponsor and a technology partner inside the organization. That matters because Hendrick said it relies on HP across its operations, including HP Z workstations and other related high-performance hardware and solutions. The relationship therefore reaches into the shop, the office and the race team’s broader workflow, not just the painted surfaces on race weekend. HP’s season-long branding on the car, fire suits, apparel and equipment reinforces that connection and keeps the partnership visible. The extended deal also shows how a sponsor can grow inside a racing organization over time, first through a team-wide relationship, then onto a specific car and driver, and now through a longer commitment into the 2029 season. For Hendrick, the arrangement keeps a technology partner in place. For HP, it keeps a NASCAR organization tied to its name.
