Jack Miller is chasing a World Superbike ride for 2027, and that series has emerged as his likeliest landing spot after a difficult stretch with Prima Pramac Yamaha. Miller said he is comfortable with a future outside MotoGP as he looks for his next contract, and he made clear that his time in the premier class has “kind of run its course.” He has already spoken with teams, but he has not signed anything. Any deal in World Superbike would need to meet the salary level he wants, with his reported target set at $1 million a year. That price point gives teams a clear benchmark, and it also frames the market around an experienced rider who still has value if the right seat opens. The path away from MotoGP is not a surprise given where Miller stands now, but it does mark a major career turn for a rider who appears ready to move on if the right opportunity comes along.
Miller’s Pramac finish
Miller still plans to finish the rest of 2026 strong with Prima Pramac Yamaha, and he wants the final stretch to show more of what he can still deliver. His goals are straightforward. He wants more top-10 finishes and better bike performance before the season ends. He sits 20th in the 2026 MotoGP standings, a spot that reflects the struggles he has dealt with this year, and it also helps explain why a change looks likely at the end of the campaign. His next target is the British Grand Prix on August 9, and that race gives him a chance to reset the tone of the season in the short term. Miller’s outlook is practical. He is focused on making the most of the rides he has left, then weighing the next step with a clear eye on where the strongest opportunity sits. If Pramac gives him the results and improvement he wants, it could soften the exit. If it does not, the move away from MotoGP looks even more likely.
Honda’s World Superbike opening
Honda could still shape Miller’s next move if it pushes ahead with a new World Superbike project for 2027. The manufacturer has discussed creating a satellite team that could be funded by Thailand-based oil company PTT, and that kind of setup would give an experienced rider a potential seat. Miller fits that profile. He has the background, he has the name value, and he is already looking for a 2027 ride outside MotoGP if needed. Honda’s current MotoGP picture does not offer a simple alternative, either, because HRC has no factory openings with Jake Dixon and Somkiat Chantra under contract. The Superbike route may be the cleaner option if Honda follows through. Pramac also has a say in how this plays out. Paolo Campinoti said there is a good chance Izan Guevara will race for the team next season, and if that happens Miller would be left without a seat. That leaves him in a familiar spot for now, balancing one possible World Superbike path against the risk that his current ride disappears before 2027 arrives.
