NXTbets Pro | Published On: October 18, 2026

Herring retains title

Jamel Herring defended his BKFC World Bantamweight Title for the first time and beat previously unbeaten John Dodson by split decision in the main event of BKFC 95 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The title fight came before a sold-out crowd of 8,392. The win moved Herring to 3-0 in BKFC, while Dodson fell to 4-1-1. Dodson entered the bout as the BKFC World Flyweight Champion, so the matchup paired one champion against another with Herring’s belt on the line. BKFC Interim World Flyweight Champion Andrew Strode was announced as Herring’s next challenger, giving the champion a clear next step after the win. The weigh-in numbers showed Herring at 134.4 pounds and Dodson at 134.8. Herring kept the title after the split decision.

Rivera, Soto score

Jimmie Rivera and Tony Soto delivered two knockout wins behind the main event at BKFC 95. Rivera stopped Brandon Meyer with a fourth-round knockout at 0:46 in the co-main event, ending the fight after both men had weighed 159.8 pounds. Soto followed with a stoppage in the featured fight, knocking out Anthony Pike in the second round at 0:40. Soto weighed 156.6 pounds at the weigh-ins, while Pike came in at 155.6. Rivera and Soto each finished their opponents, one in the fourth round and one in the second.

Evans earns bonus

Brooke Evans earned Performance of the Night honors after a second-round TKO of Gabrielle Roman. Evans weighed 125.4 pounds, and Roman came in at 123.8. The bonus gave Evans added recognition on a card that already featured a title defense and two knockout wins. Evans secured the bonus honor with a second-round stoppage. Herring kept his championship, Rivera and Soto each finished their opponents, and Evans added the bonus honor to a second-round stoppage.
