Haudenschild wins Friday
Sheldon Haudenschild won Friday’s 35-lap feature to open the L.G. Everist Huset’s Shootout at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, and he did it by taking control late and holding off Garet Williamson to the finish. Williamson led the first 11 laps before Haudenschild moved to the front on lap 12 and stayed there to win by 0.527 seconds. The victory paid $15,000 and gave Haudenschild his ninth win of 2026 and the 55th World of Outlaws win of his career. It also pushed him to five career victories at Huset’s, which tied Beaver Dam Raceway as his winningest track. Michael “Buddy” Kofoid answered on Saturday with a strong performance in the 35-lap preliminary at Huset’s Speedway, and he used a quick move past Steven Snyder Jr. to control the race from there. Kofoid took the lead on lap 7 and paced the final 29 laps to score another $15,000 victory. The win was his 12th World of Outlaws triumph of the season, matching his 2025 total, and it was his ninth career win at Huset’s. That left him one victory shy of Sammy Swindell’s track record of 10. Garet Williamson finished second for the second straight night, Sheldon Haudenschild was third, Logan Schuchart was fourth and Snyder came home fifth. The race also featured a red flag on lap 29 after Gage Pulkrabek crashed hard into the fence, a stoppage before Kofoid finished the job.

Williamson remained close after finishing second on both nights, which kept the podium conversation tight heading into the final race of the event.
