
Bezzecchi won Indonesian GP at Mandalika

Race result
Bezzecchi turned a strong chase into a victory by making the decisive move on lap 19 of 27. Raul Fernandez started from pole position and led early, but Bezzecchi closed the gap. Once he got to the front, he stayed there and pulled away enough to win by 4.260 seconds. Fernandez held on for second while racing with fractured fingers from a Saturday crash.
Aprilia result
Jorge Martin finished third, and that placed him back at the top of the championship standings, two points ahead of Marc Marquez. Aprilia recorded its first 1-2-3-4 finish in MotoGP. Ai Ogura finished fourth, Pedro Acosta took fifth and Marc Marquez crossed in sixth. Martin’s third-place finish also moved him back into the lead over Marquez. Aprilia left with a landmark result and a boost in the standings picture around Martin and Marquez.
Italian milestone
Bezzecchi’s victory was the 300th by an Italian rider in MotoGP. Bezzecchi also picked up his fifth win of the 2026 MotoGP season. The win kept his title hopes alive, and Bezzecchi described it as a much-needed breakthrough after a long recovery from injury. The combination of the race victory, the Italian milestone and Aprilia’s historic finish added significance to the Mandalika race.
