The first monthly MASL season update for the 2024-2025 campaign sees the Kansas City Comets and Milwaukee Wave out in front. Utica, Baltimore, and the Strykers are hot on the heels, with the latter producing 10 goals in a match earlier this season. This is how the league stands after month one.
Kansas City Comets lead the MASL after month one with three wins from four matches and 10 points. Rian Marques is the Comets’ current MVP, with five goals and as many assists to his name. Zach Reget is another player to watch, registering six goals this month.
Milwaukee Wave
The team from “Cream City” has also registered three wins in their first four starts but has a negative goal difference. Alex Sanchez is the star player, contributing four goals and four assists to his team’s efforts. Ricardo Carvalho has also impressed, scoring four goals in only three appearances.
Utica City FC
Utica has a game in hand over Kansas City, which could help them make up the three-point deficit. Kelvin Oliveira can’t stop scoring at the moment, averaging three goals per game. Utica has produced some nail-biters this season, losing to the Sockers at home by one point, before triumphing over the Heat by the same margin a week later.
Baltimore Blast
Baltimore Blast has also played three matches so far and sits fourth on the table. Bruno Henrique is the team’s playmaker and has delivered six assists in three matches. The boys from Charm City lost narrowly to the Milwaukee Wave in their second match but have otherwise been convincing at home and away.

Despite winning 50% of their matches, the Empire Strykers find themselves four points from the top of the standings. No Strykers match has produced fewer than 13 goals, with their encounters averaging 14.5 goals. Strykers started their season with a 3 – 10 defeat to the Chihuahua Savage and a 9 – 6 loss to Utica City. Since then they’ve exacted revenge on the rest of the league, beating the Stars and the Outlaws 10 – 5.
Chihuahua Savage
The lone Mexican team in MASL kicked off the season in style by whipping the Strykers 3 – 10 on the road. It is the only match this season where ten goals were scored by a team other than the Empire Strykers.
