Max Verstappen wins Singapore Grand Prix from pole

Verstappen seizes Singapore

Max Verstappen won the Singapore Grand Prix from pole position, completing a weekend sweep after also winning the sprint race. It was his first career victory at Marina Bay. He left with a landmark win and a rare double on the same weekend.

Antonelli rises late

Kimi Antonelli finished third for Mercedes after passing Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton late in the race. Norris finished fourth for McLaren and Oscar Piastri followed in fifth, giving McLaren two cars inside the top five. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc held second, completing the podium.

Ferrari, McLaren, strategy

Ferrari left Singapore with mixed results. Leclerc brought home a strong finish, but Lewis Hamilton ended up sixth after Ferrari’s strategy call under a virtual safety car backfired. The outcome underlined how sharply one decision can change a race in Singapore, where timing matters as much as raw pace. McLaren produced a steadier but still incomplete result, with both cars inside the top five. George Russell climbed from 19th on the grid to ninth, a strong recovery that salvaged valuable ground after a difficult start position. Isack Hadjar also moved forward, recovering from a pit-lane start to finish 10th and score the final point for Red Bull. Pirelli said the Soft-Medium one-stop was the strongest strategy in a race dominated by the C5 tire, which framed the tactical shape of the Grand Prix and explained why execution mattered so much.
