Lando Norris has co-founded LN4 Fusion, a junior single-seater racing team built to create a long-term path from the lower formulas to Formula 1. The project brings Norris in as a co-owner alongside an investment group led by Dan Richards, and it arrives with a clear racing plan that stretches across multiple tiers of the junior ladder. LN4 Fusion will race in Italian Formula 4, the FIA Formula Regional European Championship and FIA Formula 3 in 2027, while also pushing for a Formula 2 place in the 2027-2029 cycle. That gives the team a direct route through the levels that often shape the next generation of Grand Prix drivers.
The launch ties racing ambition to a wider development model. Norris said the project is a long-term way for him to stay involved in the sport and build a competitive junior-motorsport team that can develop drivers for Formula 1. He also put experienced junior-series managers in place to handle the day-to-day work, a sign the project is built for steady operation rather than a short-term splash. LN4 Fusion’s announcement came near Monza in Italy before the Italian Grand Prix weekend, setting the tone for a program that wants to sit close to the heart of the Formula 1 pipeline.

LN4 Fusion has also moved quickly to establish itself on the business and operational side. The team has acquired selected assets of AIX Racing, including AIX Racing’s 2027 entry, a move that gives the new outfit an immediate foothold in its future plans. René Rosin has been named team principal, giving the project an established figure to oversee its racing direction. Between the ownership structure, the leadership appointment and the asset deal, LN4 Fusion already looks like a program built to compete across several categories rather than a one-off entry.
The team’s base in Veneto, Italy, will serve as the main headquarters, while a Cambridgeshire base will support a British Formula 4 program. LN4 Fusion is also running a British Formula 4 testing program, which broadens the team’s work beyond the championship calendar and into driver evaluation and preparation. Norris’ black-and-neon yellow-green helmet design will serve as the livery, turning a familiar part of his personal brand into the team’s visual identity. The setup points to a project that wants continuity across machinery, personnel and presentation, with the same core image moving through each level of the junior ranks.
LN4 Legacy Programme
Norris has paired the team launch with the LN4 Legacy Programme, a separate driver development scheme aimed at finding and supporting young racers who lack financial backing. The program is fully funded and run by ADD Management, with Julian Rouse leading it. Its remit goes beyond seat time alone. It is designed to provide coaching, mentoring, performance support and career support for drivers who have the talent to move forward but do not have the money to keep pace with the cost of junior racing.
That makes the Legacy Programme a different kind of investment from LN4 Fusion, even if the two ideas share the same wider mission. Fusion is the competition arm, built to race in Formula 4, Formula Regional and Formula 3, then push toward Formula 2. The Legacy Programme is the support arm, built to identify talent and keep prospects in the sport long enough for that talent to develop. Taken together, the two projects sketch a clear plan for Norris’ continued role in motorsport. He is not just attaching his name to a team. He is backing a structure that can identify drivers, support them financially and technically, then move them through the junior categories toward Formula 1.
