Kofoid wins opener
Michael “Buddy” Kofoid drove the Roth Motorsports No. 83 from the pole to win the C&D Rigging Summer Nationals opener at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He led all 25 laps of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series feature and never gave up the front spot. The victory marked Kofoid’s 10th win of the 2026 season and snapped an eight-race winless stretch for both the driver and the Roth Motorsports team. It was a clean, controlled run from start to finish, the kind of race that let Kofoid turn track position into a decisive result. Starting up front gave him the chance to set the pace immediately, and he kept that advantage through every lap of the feature.
Roth Motorsports milestone
The win gave Roth Motorsports its 10th World of Outlaws victory of the year and made the team the first to reach double figures in 2026. Kofoid moved back into second in the World of Outlaws points standings after the result, giving the Roth camp another boost in a season that has already produced a steady stream of wins. The rest of the top five also gave the feature a strong finishing order behind the winner. Daryn Pittman took second, David Gravel finished third, Logan Schuchart was fourth and Brent Marks rounded out the top five. The result also shifted the season rivalry between the World of Outlaws and the Pennsylvania Posse, with the Outlaws taking a 3-2 lead.
