Riggs Wins Again
Layne Riggs won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and did it from the pole in the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports truck. He turned the front row start into a controlled run, swept both Stage 1 and Stage 2 and led 198 of the 200 laps. The finish was clean at the front. Race Finish Order
Mosack’s runner-up finish stood out as the best result of his Truck Series career. He held on for second behind Riggs and kept the margin to 2.8 seconds, while Ty Majeski came home third. Chandler Smith finished fourth and Nick Sanchez crossed in fifth. The order at the front held steady once the race settled into its final stretch. The only caution for cause came on Lap 138 after Daniel Hemric spun and collected Landen Lewis. That incident brought out a red flag that lasted just under eight minutes. It was the lone interruption of the race by an on-track problem, and it briefly stopped the rhythm of a run that had been driven by Riggs and the lead group. After the delay, the event resumed and the front end stayed in Riggs’ hands. He had already built a dominant position by then, and the late restart did nothing to change the shape of the finish. The combination of the pole, the stage sweeps, the lap count at the front and the final margin told the same story.
