Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race

Trey Starks won the $26,000 Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race Friday night at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington, and he did it in his family-owned No. 55X car. Starks moved past Rico Abreu for the lead on a Lap 17 restart, then stayed in front the rest of the way in the 30-lap feature. He led the final 14 laps and collected his third Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing win. The victory was his first of the 2026 season and his third trip to Whiskey Myers Victory Lane in 15 series starts.

Rico Abreu controls early

Abreu and Max Mittry set the pace through the first half of the feature before Starks took over on the restart. Abreu held on for second and left with a bigger cushion in the championship race, extending his lead to 41 points. His run kept him in the thick of the night’s battle even after Starks made the decisive move.

Tanner Holmes locks in finale

Tanner Holmes finished third and became the final driver to lock into Saturday’s $126,000-to-win Skagit Nationals finale. Tyler Courtney took fourth and Aaron Reutzel placed fifth. Holmes’ finish gave him the last guaranteed spot in the big-money final, while Courtney and Reutzel rounded out the top five after a competitive opener to the weekend.
