KTM Tech3 signed Agius and Luca Marini for 2027, with the pair set to replace Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini as the team resets for MotoGP’s next rules cycle. Agius’s contract was announced at last weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix. Agius said the timing of the regulation shift was a major reason he wanted the seat with Red Bull KTM Tech3.
Tech3 reshuffle
Guenther Steiner is reshaping KTM Tech3 ahead of the 2027 MotoGP regulations. Steiner appointed Eneko Hernando as Marini’s crew chief and Francesco Munzone as Agius’s crew chief. Munzone previously worked as a MotoGP performance engineer for Suzuki and has spent the past several years in Moto2. He will take on his first crew chief role with Agius.
