Teodoro wins rookie
Texas Rattlers rider Jean Carlos Teodoro finished a breakout regular season by winning the PBR Teams Rookie of the Year award. The race was decided in the final weekend in Kansas City, where he finished ahead of Oklahoma Wildcatters rookie Winy dos Santos.
Teodoro’s big rides
Teodoro’s season included two rides of 90 points or better, a key marker in a sport where a score that high usually turns heads fast. He scored 90.40 points on Yosemite Sam and later posted an 88.10-point ride at Fort Worth’s Rattler Days. His best ride came on Wicked Solo, where he put up a career-best 91.05 points and helped Texas beat Arizona. Those scores were among the defining numbers of his rookie season.
Texas looks ahead
Teodoro’s rookie honor also fits into the broader picture for Texas, a team that finished the regular season 17-18 and was set to compete in the PBR Teams Championship in Las Vegas. The award gives the Rattlers a clear success story heading into the next stage of the season.
