Moto3 Uriarte led wet FP2 at Red Bull Ring

MotoGP Friday pace
Pedro Acosta set the early tone at the Red Bull Ring on Friday, topping MotoGP FP1 with a lap of 1:29.851 before he came back in the afternoon and went faster again. Pol Espargaro gave KTM a 1-2 finish in FP1, with Jorge Martin third despite an early technical problem that forced him to stop at Turn 4. Marc Marquez took fourth, Johann Zarco finished fifth and Marco Bezzecchi was sixth as the opening session sorted the field.
Acosta held the top spot again in Friday afternoon practice with a 1:28.381, and Fermin Aldeguer followed in second ahead of Ai Ogura. Marc Marquez was fourth and Martin fifth, while Alex Marquez crashed exiting Turn 1 and briefly brought out a red flag before he returned to finish eighth. Francesco Bagnaia struggled to 18th, and Fabio Quartararo ended the session 10th to earn direct Q2 entry for the first time since Barcelona.
MotoGP Saturday form
Marc Marquez moved to the front in Saturday’s damp final MotoGP practice, using a lap of 1:29.663 to set the pace after overnight rain left wet patches on the track. He still had to recover from a crash at Turn 1 in the closing minutes, but the fall did not stop him from staying fastest.
Jorge Martin finished second, 0.202 seconds back, with Acosta third, Aldeguer fourth and Bagnaia fifth. Acosta stayed firmly in the mix after leading Friday’s pace, and Bagnaia, who had labored to 18th in Friday afternoon practice, found much better ground in the wet final session.
Moto3 and Moto2
Brian Uriarte led Moto3 FP2 in the wet at the Red Bull Ring with a lap of 1:47.740, and the session never fully dried. Joel Esteban took second in 1:48.010, Leo Rammerstorfer was third in 1:48.298, Hakim Danish finished fourth, Marcos Uriarte was fifth and Guido Pini placed sixth. David Almansa and Max Quiles did not set a time.
Moto2 FP2 followed with Tony Arbolino on top at 1:41.066. Xabi Zurutuza was second, Aron Canet third, Deniz Oncu fourth, Daniel Muñoz fifth and Marcos Ramirez sixth. Only 13 riders set lap times in the session, and Filip Salac, Ivan Ortola, Izan Guevara and David Alonso did not record a lap.
