When the 2025 PDGA Pro World Championships aired live on Finland’s national public broadcasting service (YLE), it was a cultural phenomenon. An average of 301,000 people tuned in on national TV for the final rounds, with viewership peaking at nearly 600,000.
The YLE Areena streaming service racked up 1.8 million online views for the event. These numbers signal a clear truth: professional disc golf has arrived, and fans are desperate to watch. The Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) is the sport’s leading circuit, where the best players in the world battle it out weekly. But the big question is about where you can watch DGPT.
In this guide, NXTbetswill break down every way to catch the action – from live rounds and full-event replays to condensed highlights. We will cover live TV and streaming options, explain international access, and help you find official schedules.
The Disc Golf Pro Tourhas built a sophisticated media strategy designed to serve its dedicated fanbase while simultaneously attracting new viewers. At its core is a primary subscription service, supplemented by strategic free broadcasts to maximize reach. This ensures that whether you are a die-hard fan who needs to see every throw live or a curious newcomer, you can watch at your convenience.
Disc Golf Network (DGN)
Disc Golf Network is the official subscription streaming service for Disc Golf Pro Tour. A DGN subscription is your all-access pass that includes live coverage of every round for both the MPO (Mixed Professional Open) and FPO (Female Professional Open) divisions. This covers the entire slate of DGPT Elite events, DGPT+ tournaments, the Playoffs, and the PDGA Pro Majors.
Beyond the in-round action, your subscription also unlocks a library of original content, pre-tournament press conferences, and an extensive on-demand archive of past events.
For 2025, Disc Golf Network offers several tiers to fit different needs.
DGN Pro: It is the top-tier package. This includes everything in the Standard plan, plus exclusive live coverage of certain PDGA Pro Majors like the United States Disc Golf Championship (USDGC) and the European Disc Golf Festival. Pro subscribers also get to watch Round 1 of every DGPT event completely commercial-free.
DGN Standard: It is the core subscription. This provides live access to all DGPT Elite, DGPT+, and Playoff events, as well as most PDGA Pro Majors like Worlds. It also includes the full on-demand library and original content.
DGN Basic: This is a special free plan available exclusively to active PDGA members. It provides complimentary live access to select events throughout the year, such as the United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship (USWDGC) and two rounds of the PDGA Pro World Championships.
YouTube/X Live Windows (select events)
To bring the action to the widest possible audience, the Disc Golf Pro Tour and Disc Golf Network occasionally simulcast a portion of their live coverage for free on YouTube. This is most often the first round of a tournament. It is a great way for the community to get a taste of the live broadcast and for new fans to get hooked on the action before the coverage moves exclusively to DGN for the final rounds. For example, the first round of the 2025 Discraft Supreme Flight Open was streamed live on YouTube.
However, this is not guaranteed for every event. It is a case-by-case decision, so you must check the weekly watching guide on DGPT’s website to see if a free live window is being offered.
Europe Broadcast Notes
For fans following the rapidly expanding European circuit, Disc Golf Network remains the primary global broadcaster for all Disc Golf Pro Tour events. The English-language broadcast is available worldwide to all DGN subscribers.
In a move to deepen regional engagement, the DGPT has also begun forming strategic partnerships with local media outlets in Europe. These collaborations can provide local-language broadcasts, sometimes for free within that country. As always, the official event previews on the website are the best place to verify if any local broadcast partners are available for a specific European tournament.
PDGA Pro Worlds Special Carriage
ThePDGA Professional World Championshipsis the most prestigious event on the calendar. While it is a PDGA Major, its broadcast is a cornerstone of the Disc Golf Pro Tour media schedule. Live coverage is available globally on DGN.
The 2025 Worlds in Finland marked a historic moment with a landmark partnership between the DGPT and Yle, Finland’s national public broadcaster. This deal brought free, live, Finnish-language coverage of the entire tournament to the host nation. The result was a massive viewership, which demonstrated a powerful model for future Majors.
JomezPro (post-produced)
JomezPro provides post-produced disc golf coverage, which is available for free on their YouTube channel. “Post-produced” means you get a condensed, edited version of a round, usually focusing on the lead MPO and FPO cards, released the day after it happens live. This coverage is known for its high-quality production, expert commentary, and signature features like “FollowFlight” graphics and “SloMez” replays.
The DGPT’s acquisition of JomezPro has ensured the stability and continuation of this beloved coverage. It has also allowed for an expansion of the product, with JomezPro now integrating more highlights and key moments from the chase cards into their edits. The latter gives viewers a more complete story of the round.
DGPT “How to Watch” Guide
The official “How to Watch” articles published on the DGPT’s news section provide the final and confirmed broadcast schedules, direct streaming links for both DGN and any free YouTube windows, and details on any special regional broadcasts. Make it your first stop before every tournament weekend.
Free vs. Paid Watching Platforms for the Disc Golf Pro Tour
Deciding between free and paid options comes down to how you want to experience the sport. Both offer great content, but they serve different types of viewers:
Free Platforms
Your main sources will be:
The JomezPro YouTube channel for next-day, condensed rounds
DGPT YouTube channel for press conferences, highlight reels, and the occasional free live broadcast of a tournament’s first round
This is perfect for the casual fan or someone whose schedule doesn’t allow for watching hours of live coverage. The major caveat is that you won’t get the full, live experience, and you’ll need to be diligent about avoiding spoilers.
Paid Platforms
A paid Disc Golf Network subscription is for the fan who wants an immersive and real-time experience of live sports. The value proposition is that you get to watch the drama unfold as it happens, across all rounds and featuring multiple cards, not just the leaders. The broadcast quality is in high definition with a professional commentary team guiding you through the action.
You also get to be part of the conversation as it happens, without having the results spoiled on social media. It is the most comprehensive and immediate way to follow the Pro Tour.
Value Checklist
Not sure which path is right for you? Ask yourself these questions:
How important is watching live? If you hate spoilers and love the thrill of a live finish, a DGN subscription is for you.
How much time do you have? Live coverage is a commitment of several hours per round. If you only have an hour a day, post-produced coverage from JomezPro is a more efficient way to watch.
Do you follow both MPO and FPO? Disc Golf Network provides live coverage of both divisions, while post-produced schedules can sometimes vary.
Are you a PDGA member? The 50% discount on DGN makes the paid option incredibly compelling for active PDGA members.
International Viewing & Geo-Restrictions
Disc Golf Network acts as the central hub for watching the Disc Golf Pro Tour. It delivers a consistent, English-language broadcast to a global audience. For major events in disc golf hotbeds, the tour partners with local broadcasters to drive huge regional growth and engagement.
Outside North America
For the vast majority of international viewers, a Disc Golf Network subscription is the best and most direct way to watch all Disc Golf Pro Tour and DGPT Europe events live. However, as the sport’s popularity explodes in certain regions, look for more local partnerships. The 2025 PDGA Pro Worlds partnership with Yle in Finland is an example of such partnerships. Similar deals have been made with Telia and Delfi in Estonia for theEuropean Disc Golf Festival.
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
You may sometimes encounter geo-blocking, where content is restricted to certain countries due to media licensing deals. While some viewers use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to make their internet traffic appear as if it is coming from another country, it is important to know that this often violates the streaming platform’s Terms of Service.
While using a VPN itself is legal in most countries, violating a service’s terms could potentially lead to your account being suspended. For the most reliable and highest-quality viewing experience that also supports the tour and its media partners, we recommend using the official, legal viewing options available in your region.
Devices & Apps for Watching the Disc Golf Pro Tour
It is super easy to tune into the Disc Golf Pro Tour because of the apps and websites’ flexible compatibility.
Mobile & Tablet
The best way to watch on your phone or tablet is through the official Disc Golf Network app, which is available on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. For free content like highlights or occasional live streams, the YouTube app is your go-to option.
Pro Tip: Before a tournament weekend, make sure you’ve downloaded the latest version of the app and have tested your login credentials. Enable notifications to get alerts right when the live broadcast begins so you don’t miss the opening drives.
Big-Screen Setup
To get the action on your television, you have several great options. Disc Golf Network has native apps for most major smart TV platforms and streaming devices, including:
Roku
Amazon Fire TV
Apple TV
Android TV
Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen OS)
LG Smart TVs (WebOS)
You can also “cast” the stream from the DGN or YouTube app on your phone to a compatible smart TV or a device like a Chromecast. For the best experience, ensure you have a stable internet connection capable of handling high-definition (1080p) streaming.
Replays & Highlights of the Disc Golf Pro Tour
There are excellent ways to catch up if, by any unfortunate circumstance, you miss the Disc Golf Pro Tour live stream.
Official Archives
The complete, official archive of past tournaments lives on Disc Golf Network. A key benefit of a DGN subscription is access to this library of full-round replays. If you want to go back and watch an entire tournament from the first shot to the last, this is the place to do it.
Post-Produced Rounds on YouTube
For a quicker and more cinematic recap, YouTube has all you need. JomezPro provides the definitive next-day post-produced coverage for nearly every Disc Golf Pro Tour Elite event and Major. You can also find coverage from other excellent media teams like GK Pro and Gatekeeper Media, who often cover different cards or Silver events.
For major events like the PDGA Pro Worlds, you can count on JomezPro to deliver its signature polished coverage of the winning rounds.
Schedules and Time Zones of the Disc Golf Pro Tour
You have to make sure that you are tuned in on time. How?
Find Your Start Time
The best source for broadcast times is the weekly “How to Watch” article on the Disc Golf Pro Tour website and the official schedule posted on Disc Golf Network’s event hub. Be aware that start times can sometimes shift due to weather delays or other factors. These official sources will always have the most current information.
Convert & Remind
Most broadcast times are officially listed in U.S. Eastern Time (ET). If you live in a different time zone, use a simple online converter to figure out your local start time. Set a calendar reminder on your phone for each day of the tournament so you don’t forget.
Legal & Safe Streaming of the Disc Golf Pro Tour
To get the best experience and support the sport, always stick to official sources.
Why Official Sources Matter
Watching through DGN or the official DGPT YouTube channel guarantees a high-quality and stable stream with professional commentary. You are also directly supporting the tour, the players, and the media teams who work hard to bring you this coverage. Unofficial, pirated streaming sites are unreliable, often have poor video quality, and can expose your device to malware and other security risks.
Account Safety
Protect your Disc Golf Network account by using a strong and unique password. Always download the official DGN app from trusted sources like the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Remember that sharing your login information is a violation of the terms of service and can put your account and personal information at risk.
Viewing Tips for a Better DGPT Experience
You can elevate your watch party with a few simple tricks.
Prep Your Setup
Don’t wait until the broadcast starts to discover a technical issue. Before the round begins, do a quick check: test your internet speed, log into your DGN account, and make sure your app and streaming device are updated. It is also a good idea to have a backup device, like a tablet or laptop, ready to go in case you have trouble with your TV.
Engage Live
Make watching a more interactive experience. Follow DGPT and DGN on social media for live updates, highlight clips, and to join the conversation with other fans.
You can also use your phone’s picture-in-picture feature to keep the stream running while you check stats or chat with friends.
Stream Smarter and Throw Further with NXTbets
Navigating the 2025 Disc Golf Pro Tour season is all about choosing the path that fits your fandom. For an edge-of-your-seat live experience, Disc Golf Network is your ticket. On the other hand, look for event-specific streams on DGPT’s YouTube channel for a free taste of the action.
Remember, the media landscape can change from week to week. Stay vigilant if you don’t want to miss legendary throws.
At NXTbets, we are your go-to source for streaming guides, schedule reminders, and the insights you need to follow the tour like a pro.Subscribe to our newsletter, and we will help you stream smarter all season long.
The primary DGN broadcast is in English. However, for certain international events, the DGPT may partner with local broadcasters to provide commentary in the local language, as seen with the Finnish-language broadcast of the 2025 Worlds on Yle.
Why did the DGPT buy JomezPro? Does this mean Jomez will eventually go behind a paywall?
This was a huge move, and it was really about stability and growth, not restriction. JomezPro faced some financial headwinds after the massive boom during the pandemic, and the DGPT stepped in to provide resources and support. The goal is to keep the JomezPro team focused on what they do best – creating amazing content – while the DGPT handles the business side. Both the DGPT and JomezPro have been very clear: JomezPro's tournament coverage will remain free on YouTube.
My favorite player isn't on the lead card. Will I even get to see them play?
This is one of the biggest advantages of live coverage. The DGN broadcast isn't stuck on one card. The production team actively jumps around the course to show you important shots, hot rounds, and key moments from players on the chase cards and beyond.
Some events, like the European Disc Golf Festival and USDGC, have weird viewing rules. What's up with that?
You are right. A couple of the biggest events have unique media rights. For certain PDGA Pro Majors like the European Disc Golf Festival and the USDGC, live coverage is exclusive to the top-tier DGN Pro subscription. Furthermore, the JomezPro post-produced coverage for these events also appears on DGN Pro for subscribers the next day, before it is released for free on YouTube a week later. It is a way to add extra value to the premium subscription for the sport's most prestigious tournaments.
I'm a PDGA member, but I'm still paying full price for DGN. How do I fix that?
This is a common issue! The key is that you have to manually link your two accounts one time on the Disc Golf Network website (you can't do it in the mobile app). Once you log into your DGN account on a web browser, go to your settings, find the PDGA section, and enter your member info. After you verify it, the 50% discount will be applied automatically for as long as your PDGA membership is active. You won't have to mess with discount codes ever again.
