Spurlock’s ARCA debut
Alpha Prime Racing has named Dystany Spurlock as its first announced driver for its new ARCA Menards Series program, placing her at the center of the team’s next step in stock car racing. Spurlock is set to drive the No. 44 Ford Mustang in 17 of the 20 ARCA Menards Series races in 2027, giving her a substantial schedule as the organization launches its driver development effort. The program is scheduled to open with preseason testing at Daytona International Speedway, and Alpha Prime Racing said it will include late-model testing, coaching and race preparation. The team also said Spurlock’s schedule can change based on her progress, licensing requirements and available track time, with additional opportunities possible during the season. Foxxtecca will sponsor the program and serve as Spurlock’s primary partner, giving the initiative a clear backer as it gets underway.
Alpha Prime program
The move gives Alpha Prime Racing a defined starting point for a broader plan. The team said it is building a full development program around Spurlock and entering the ARCA Menards Series with a goal of developing drivers and crew members. That makes her role more than a standard race seat. The combination of testing, coaching and race preparation points to a deliberate approach, one aimed at building experience as much as race results. Alpha Prime Racing’s comments make the direction clear. The organization wants to create a pipeline, and Spurlock is the first name attached to it. The program’s structure shows how the team intends to start, while the flexibility built into the schedule leaves room for the program to expand as conditions allow.
Spurlock’s racing rise
Spurlock arrives with a background that already crosses multiple forms of motorsports. She moved to stock car racing from motorcycle drag racing, where she set a world record in the Real Street class of the XDA Motorcycle Drag Racing Series in 2024. That performance led to her NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle debut, a move that marked another step in a career that has kept advancing across racing disciplines. In 2026, Spurlock became the first Black woman to compete in a NASCAR-affiliated series, a milestone that came alongside more stock car experience. She made two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts that year and finished 10th in her national ARCA debut at Kansas Speedway. Those results give Alpha Prime Racing a driver with experience in both motorcycles and stock cars, plus recent laps in national series competition. Her path into the team’s ARCA program reflects steady progress, and the new assignment gives her a clear platform for the next stage of that climb.
