Williams won Perris
Austin Williams made the biggest move of the night at Perris Auto Speedway, winning the 30-lap Avanti Windows & Doors USAC CRA Sprint Car feature with a final-lap pass. He took the lead after a three-wide battle with Charles Davis Jr. and R.J. Johnson, then turned that opening into his first USAC CRA win of the season. The victory also broke a long stretch between series wins. Johnson finished second and Davis Jr. took third, with Williams making the key move when the lead changed for good on the final circuit.
Davis Jr. led
Brecken Guerrero set the early pace and led the first eight laps, then Charles Davis Jr. took over and led the next 21. Davis Jr. had already shown his speed before the feature by setting fast time in qualifying, while Williams won the first heat race. By the closing laps, the top three were involved in a three-car fight for position, and the final-lap scramble decided everything. Williams won the feature after taking the lead from Davis Jr. in the closing circuit.
Wakim earned hard charger
Cole Wakim earned hard charger honors. Williams left Perris with the feature victory, Johnson backed it up with a second-place run and Davis Jr. paired his fast qualifying time with a third-place finish after leading 21 laps. The series next moves to Mohave Valley Raceway for its next race. For Williams, the Perris win gives him a fresh series breakthrough.
