Get used to seeing the name Jett Lawrence in this preview, as the Australian tops most markets. Starting with the holeshot. Lawrence is quick off the mark and is no stranger to leading from the front. This is his first competitive race of the year after missing out on the SX season due to an ankle injury. Justin Cooper enters as the second favorite at +447, after beating the field to the first corner in this year’s Supercross series. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Hunter Lawrence is worth a look at +636, after registering seven holeshots during the stadium part of the SMX Championship.

Odds for Event Winner
The younger Lawrence brother, Jett, leads the event winner odds market ahead of his older sibling, Hunter. Jett Lawrence has owned this circuit in recent years, taking the checkered flag in the last three editions. He also came out on top in 81.8% of all Pro Motocross rounds in 2025. The younger Australian was tough to beat last season, but one rider who accomplished the feat was Hunter Lawrence. Older bro won the Ironman National and closed out his duties at this venue in third last time out.
Haiden Deegan steps up to the 450 class after dominating the 250 category. We saw him on a 450 bike in Argentina last year in a stadium environment, where he finished third behind Roczen. He’s a long shot at +1000, but this kid can ride. Carrying shorter odds than the youth is Chase Sexton, the 2022 Champion on this dirt. He enters with his tail up after winning the final Supercross race of the year in Salt Lake City. Sexton joined Hunter Lawrence in 2025 as one of the only two riders, besides Jett, to enter Victory Lane. Last up, Eli Tomac starts the Motocross season after claiming four victories in this year’s Supercross campaign.

Expert Pick
Jett Lawrence is an easy expert pick for the Pro Motocross opener, after winning this event since 2023. The Australian has conquered this track, justifying his short odds of -250. A $20.00 wager on Lawrence stands to payout $28.00.
Odds for a Podium
The Lawrence siblings sit at the head of the odds sheet for a top-three return in the season opener. Jett’s odds are incredibly short after he posted a 90.9% podium return in the 2025 MX season. Hunter offers a little more value at -158, off the back of 12 rostrums in the SX series. He also produced eight podiums in the previous Pro Motocross edition, one of which was a third-place finish at this very venue. Hunter sets off in search of his third consecutive top three on this track.
Eli Tomac enters the race at +120 for a triumph. He featured on the podium in seven out of 11 rounds last season, and backed it up with nine podiums in the 2026 SX Championship. It’s a massive ask for Haiden Deegan to feature on the podium, but he knows this track well and won both races in the 250 class on his previous visit to Fox Raceway. Capping off our podium contenders is Chase Sexton, who found himself in the top three twice last year. He suffered an injury at this circuit, which kept him out for most of the season.

Top 5 Odds
In 2025, Justin Cooper was a consistent finisher in this category, registering top fives in 81.8% of the rounds. He fell outside the top five only twice, at Spring Creek and Washougal, but was otherwise a consistent performer. Newcomer, Haiden Deegan, carries positive odds for a top five. The 450 class is a massive step up, but he’s proven he’s comfortable with a bigger engine in the last 12 months. He’s priced at -110 for a top five, which is within his reach.
Chase Sexton only started five rounds last season, but returned top fives in three of them. While Motocross is a different animal from Supercross, his form suggests he’s one to keep an eye on. Sexton finished inside the top five in five of his last seven appearances, including two podiums. He even averaged 4.2 in the final five rounds.

Moto #1 Winner
Much like the predictions for the event winner, the Lawrence duo tops the odds sheet to prevail in Moto #1. We can’t ignore that Jett is returning from injury, but he was in the same boat 12 months ago, and returned with a bang to win seven rounds in a row. He also departed Pala last year with two starts and two race wins. Hunter is more attractively set at +500, after topping qualifying three times in this year’s SX rounds. Chase Sexton starts the weekend after winning heat #1 in the Supercross Salt Lake City contest three weeks ago.

Winning Manufacturer
After four consecutive victories at Fox Raceway National, Honda enters the season opener as the manufacturer to beat. Chase Sexton captured the checkered flag in 2022, but since then, it’s been all Lawrence for the Japanese brand. Yamaha lines up as the second favorite, with much hype surrounding their wunderkind Haiden Deegan. Away from the noise, Kawasaki are well placed at +890, with Sexton leading their efforts. His odds are long for top honors, but he is still one of Jett Lawrence’s biggest challengers entering the weekend.

2026 Pro Motocross Championship Futures
Once again, the name Jett Lawrence tops the odds sheet, this time in the futures market. The Aussie is looking to go back-to-back in the Pro Motocross Championship. Another title here will take his tally to three in the 450 category. Lawrence bagged 10 podiums, including nine victories en route to his 2025 silverware. Starting the season as the third favorite is Chase Sexton, the 2024 Champion. He enters the opener in form, but he’ll have to produce his best every round to stop Lawrence from steamrolling the competition.

First on the calendar is Fox Raceway National, where Jett Lawrence arrives as the pre-event odds favorite after winning this event on his three previous visits. The markets believe his older brother Hunter will be his nearest challenger, after closing out the SX Championship in second. You can find all the betting markets for the season opener in our best bets analysis below.

Best Bets & Odds for 450 Class Motocross Fox Raceway National
Main Race Holeshot Odds
