Best Bets and Picks for 2025 Discmania Challenge
MPO Event Winner Odds
DGPT World Standings MPO leader Gannon Buhr is setting the disc golf world on fire this year, entering the Discmania Challenge with a 127.17 point cushion over his colleagues. He has even more reason to celebrate this weekend, returning to his home state and teeing off only 30 miles from his house. Buhr prevailed in this event two years ago and enters this edition off the back of consecutive wins on tour. Defending Champion Anthony Barela is finding consistency after a few shaky results earlier in the year. He tees off in Iowa after securing four consecutive top threes, including a win.
Former Champions Paul McBeth and Simon Lizotte return to the Midwest seeking more Discmania glory. However, neither player has gotten going this season, bar a couple of tournaments. McBeth has finished inside the top five three times, while Lizotte has returned two top threes. Isaac Robinson is worth a look as an outsider at +2292, despite registering two top fives, including a victory in his last three outings.

MPO Expert Pick
Gannon Buhr is a reasonable expert pick for the stop in Iowa, starting after consecutive victories. His odds are relatively favorable, considering his brilliance this campaign, and he hits the course at +170, potentially paying out $54.00 for a $20 stake.

Ten starts this year, ten top fives, and three victories is how Holyn Handley’s report card reads. She’s a model for consistency on tour, and it shows in her short odds for this weekend. Her biggest rival throughout the campaign has remained Kristin Lätt, who is currently plying her trade in Europe along with 2025 USW Champion Eveliina Salonen.
Ohn Scoggins enters Washington State as the second favorite, after finishing her last four events inside the top 10. Her best return was a tie for second in the CSC, the only time she has finished ahead of Handley this year. Cadence Burge tees off with longshot odds of +1312, but she’s a silent threat after securing three top threes in her previous four tournaments.

FPO Expert Pick
The quality of the FPO field this weekend isn’t as strong as we’ve seen in other weeks, which is why we are putting our confidence in Holyn Handley. She’s the most consistent woman in the field and tied for the winningest player in the division this year. Handley enters the Discmania Challenge at +100, possibly paying out $40 on a $20 wager.
