Schedule and How to Watch the F1 Dutch Grand Prix

The world’s premier motorsports championship returns to our screens as drivers look to soar in the low country. Teams will have the cars assembled and ready for the first practice session on Friday, August 29, at 6:30 am EDT at the Zandvoort Circuit. There is no sprint this weekend, so we’re faced with the standard schedule of three practice sessions, qualifying, and the Grand Prix.

The grid assembles for the race on Sunday at 9:00 am as McLaren searches for its 12th victory of the season. Follow the weekend’s proceedings live on ESPN, and check out NXTbets for the latest odds and analysis in preparation for the weekend.

F1 Dutch Grand Prix Odds

Event Winner Odds

Championship leader Oscar Piastri lines up in a familiar position of favorite, but his teammate has outshone him in three of the last four races. The Australian is a six-time winner this term, more than any other driver in the field, and he’s only missed the podium twice in 14 starts, averaging 2.43. His colleague, Lando Norris, is the defending champion at Zandvoort and is the in-form driver, having topped the results table in 57.14% of his previous seven Grands Prix.

The local, Max Verstappen, took the checkered flag from 2021 to 2023 on this track, but don’t get your hopes up for him to repeat the feat this year. He averages 1.25 at this venue since Formula 1 returned to Zandvoort, but this year has proven difficult. He’s only taken top honors twice the whole campaign, and has struggled to match the McLarens on Sundays.

Podium Odds

Charles Leclerc arrives in North Holland with a respectable record of two rostrums in his previous three attempts. The Monegasque racer also strung together four podiums in the last seven races before heading into the summer recess. McLaren’s top dog, George Russell, found himself back inside the top three for the first time since his triumphant trip to Canada in June. The Briton now holds the third most top-three results in the Championship this year, behind the Papaya boys.

Lando Norris

Lando Norris is back in the Kingdom to defend his title, fresh off his fifth triumph of the campaign.

Odds for the Top 6

The veteran, Fernando Alonso, starts his first Grand Prix since registering his maiden top six of the campaign. On the opposite end of the age spectrum, Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto held his nerve to claim the final spot in the top six at the Hungaroring. While the duo has highlighted their skills, their inconsistency throughout the year leaves a question mark around the likelihood of them replicating a top-six run in the Netherlands.

Sir Lewis Hamilton is desperate to break back into the top six after falling outside in his last two appearances. The Ferrari driver has dipped inside the threshold in 50% of his races this season, but he’s crossed the line in seventh and 12th in his past two outings, showcasing his vulnerabilities. Alexander Albon carries four top sixes with him into Zandvoort, but he’s blowing hot and cold, failing to finish 50% of his last six races.

Odds for a Top 10 Finish

The battle for minor points is cutthroat this season, with all but one driver having claimed a top 10 return. Nico Hulkenberg and Isack Hadjar have greeted the stewards in the first 10 places on five occasions this year. Hulkenberg, however, is trending in the right direction, achieving the feat in 66.67% of his prior six starts. Hadjar last found himself among the 10 best drivers in Spain on the first weekend of June.

Liam Lawson is compiling a positive run of results, earning his first three top 10s of the campaign in the past four rounds. Aston Martin driver, Lance Stroll, wraps up our top 10 picks after registering two in the previous three weekends, taking his total to four in 2025.

Fastest Qualifier Odds

Qualifying continues to entertain F1 fans, with a different driver taking pole in each of the last three races. Leclerc snatched his first start at the front of the grid in the last Grand Prix, while Piastri finished second for the third consecutive round. “Last Lap Lando” has qualified fastest in 50% of the last four rounds, taking his tally to four pole positions throughout the season. Verstappen has fared better in qualifying this year overall, compared to the Grands Prix, topping the group four times on a Saturday. It puts him level with the two McLaren drivers on four.

Odds for the Constructors' Winner

After 14 rounds, McLaren has produced the victorious vehicle 11 times. Their Australian driver has contributed six to the cause, while his British counterpart has added five. The Woking garage crosses the North Sea this weekend after entering Victory Lane in six of the previous seven rounds, showcasing the utter dominance of the MCL39.

Red Bull owns two constructors’ trophies this year, prevailing at Suzuka and in Emilia-Romagna, but outside of this, it’s been a bleak year for the trophy cabinet in Milton Keynes. Mercedes has a single victory to their name, but has struggled with consistency throughout the term, despite Canada, where they took first and third place.

Odds for the Midfield Winner Race

The most senior driver on the grid, Fernando Alonso, has emerged as the midfield driver to beat in recent weeks. He’s taken first prize in three out of the last five contests and is only one behind Alex Albon for most midfield successes in the Championship. His fifth-place finish in Hungary was just good enough to claim the spoils, ahead of Gabriel Bortoleto in sixth.

Nico Hulkenberg has fallen off the pace since his heroic third-place finish at Silverstone, falling outside of the top 10 in consecutive starts. However, the German still has two midfield wins to his name since the Spanish Grand Prix, making him a threat on his day. Liam Lawson is one to keep an eye on after his recent run of top 10s, but he’s only prevailed in the midfield chase once this year, at the Red Bull Ring in round 11.
