Boothill Speedway cancellation
Weeklong rain and thunderstorms from Hurricane Polo forced the cancellation of this weekend’s Bayou Classic at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, Louisiana. It was a World of Outlaws Late Model Series event, and series and Boothill officials made the decision with Precision Weather Service. Officials cited fan safety and the high travel cost for teams, and said there were no viable makeup dates left.
