Kofoid takes command early
Michael “Buddy” Kofoid won the Gunslinger Stampede at Dodge City Raceway Park as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series returned to the Kansas track. The Roth Motorsports No. 83 driver made his first visit to Dodge City Raceway Park count and moved to the front on Lap 2. Emerson Axsom led the opening lap before Kofoid made the decisive move. Kofoid won by a wide margin in the No. 83.
Kofoid season best at Dodge City
The win pushed Kofoid to a series-leading 13th victory of the season, a mark that stands as his personal best in a World of Outlaws season. The victory also became the 35th World of Outlaws series win of his career.
David Gravel finished second in the feature. Axsom finished third, Carson Macedo took fourth and Sheldon Haudenschild finished fifth.
