Seavey wins Bloomington

Logan Seavey won the USAC Indiana Midget Week feature at Bloomington Speedway on Friday. The race went to overtime and was extended to 32 laps. Bradley Cox led the opening three laps. Seavey took the lead on lap 4 and led the final 29 laps, never relinquishing control. The victory was Seavey’s fifth career Indiana Midget Week win and his 20th career USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship feature victory, tying A.J. Foyt on the all-time list. The win was also Seavey’s first of the season for Abacus Racing. The finish underlined Seavey’s ability to seize momentum early and hold it through traffic and a late-race restart. Track position mattered, but Seavey paired pace with consistency to close out the extra laps and keep challengers at bay.

Denney rallies from 19th

Jacob Denney climbed from 19th to fourth and earned the hard-charger honors for the night. Karter Sarff finished second, 0.452 seconds behind Seavey, and Cannon McIntosh worked his way to third after starting 12th. Drake Edwards took fifth and Kale Drake finished sixth. Justin Grant flipped on lap 4 and was classified 21st. The top finishers mixed strong starts with recovery drives, as several competitors moved through the field while others fell back after early incidents. Denney’s charge through the pack was the clearest single-race surge, moving past traffic and avoiding the late-race scrambles that reshaped the order behind the winner.

Sarff leads points battle

Sarff remained the Indiana Midget Week standings leader after Bloomington, with McIntosh second and Seavey third. Entering the fifth race at Tri-State Speedway, Sarff held an 11-point edge over Seavey, with McIntosh listed on 272 points and Seavey on 267. The six-race USAC Indiana Midget Week is competing for a $30,000 points fund, with the champion set to receive $15,000. The series closed with a final race scheduled for Sunday at Kokomo Speedway. Entering that finale, Sarff led Seavey by three points, with McIntosh 15 points behind the leader, leaving the championship outcome very much alive and setting up a decisive run for the season prize.
