Justin Allgaier wins second NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series title at Homestead

Allgaier secures title

Justin Allgaier closed the season with a seventh-place finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway and turned that result into his second NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship. The JR Motorsports driver arrived at the finale with a 22-point edge over Jesse Love, then kept control of the title fight when the checkered flag fell. He won the championship by 14 points. The finish capped a season in which Allgaier also claimed the regular-season title and put together a standout statistical year. He led the series with six wins and added 19 top-five finishes, numbers that kept him in front of a crowded championship race that included five drivers. Corey Day, Carson Kvapil and Sheldon Creed were also still in the hunt, but Allgaier did what he needed to do and left Homestead with the crown. The result gave him another title in the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, the same car number he used for both of his championships. Allgaier became the 10th driver in series history to win multiple championships, completing a season in which he remained in contention through the final race.

JR Motorsports milestone

The championship also marked a first for JR Motorsports. Allgaier became the first driver to win multiple titles for the organization, a milestone that adds another layer to a partnership that has already produced two championships in the No. 7 Chevrolet. That achievement underscored the continuity of his run with the organization. His cushion entering the finale helped him manage the pressure of a five-driver title battle and secure the championship. For JR Motorsports, it was another significant result, and for Allgaier, it extended his title record with the team.

Allgaier looks ahead

Allgaier also made clear that the title did not mark the end of his run with JR Motorsports. He said he will return to the team and drive the No. 7 Chevrolet in 2027 and beyond, keeping the same partnership in place after another championship season. That decision carries extra weight because he said he was close to walking away from racing before deciding to stay. Instead, he chose to continue, and the choice paid off with a year he described as his best statistical run in years. He framed the championship battle as a bonus on top of that production, not the only measure of success. He said he was going all-out and felt satisfied with the season regardless of the result. Now he moves forward with another championship in hand and a clear plan to keep racing.
