Oklahoma Wildcatters update
The Oklahoma Wildcatters are expected to be without three riders as the 2026 PBR Teams season enters its closing stretch. That comes as Oklahoma faces the final weeks with the season’s push toward the finish. Two regular-season events remain before the PBR Teams Championship in Las Vegas, so every out and every roster decision carries more weight now than it did earlier in the year. The Wildcatters still have time to adjust, but the margin for error is shrinking fast with the season down to its final stops.
New York Mavericks chase
All 10 PBR Teams are scheduled to compete at Go Bowling Maverick Days at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, giving the New York Mavericks a high-profile chance to change their position in the standings. New York sits in eighth place and is trying to catch the Kansas City Outlaws for the No. 7 seed, a spot that would let the Mavericks avoid the play-in game. That makes the event more than just another regular-season stop for New York. It is a direct path to improve its postseason outlook, especially with the seeding chase still in play. The Mavericks also are defending the rivalry belt against the Florida Freedom on Saturday, adding another layer to a weekend that already has plenty at stake for New York.
Title and MVP race
Missouri can clinch the regular-season title and the No. 1 seed this weekend, and the race behind the leaders is still alive. Austin, Nashville and Carolina are still in pursuit, which keeps pressure on the top of the standings even as the end of the regular season comes into view. The title picture at the team level is only part of the focus, though. Jose Vitor Leme leads the MVP race and is one 90-point ride away from tying Chris Shivers’ Premier Series record of 94. That puts Leme within striking distance of a major mark while the season moves into its final phase, and it gives the closing stretch another storyline to follow alongside the team standings.
