Pierce led all 60 laps and never gave the field a chance to catch him once the race settled in. He backed up the victory with his second straight Hawkeye 100 win at Maquoketa and his 19th World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory of 2026. That number pushed him to the top of the series’ single-season chart and gave him another major line on a season already defined by wins. Hudson O’Neal delivered the other headline in Friday night’s Hawkeye 100 opener, winning the 40-lap World of Outlaws Late Model feature at Maquoketa Speedway. O’Neal took the lead after a three-wide battle with Tim McCreadie and Brandon Sheppard, then held the front spot the rest of the way. The feature stayed caution-free after O’Neal moved ahead, and that gave him a clean run to the finish. The win was O’Neal’s sixth career World of Outlaws victory, his fourth in the K&L Rumley Enterprises No. 6 and his third World of Outlaws win of 2026. It also gave him a career-high 16 wins in 2026.
