Pierce wins at Sharon
Bobby Pierce delivered the move that mattered most at Sharon Speedway, slipping past Nick Hoffman and then pulling away to win the World of Outlaws Late Model Series feature in Hartford, Ohio. Pierce made his charge after Hoffman ran too high in Turn 2, then finished the pass with a slider in Turn 3. Once he cleared Hoffman, Pierce controlled the rest of the 60-lap race and never gave the lead back. The finish gave Pierce his fourth career victory at Sharon Speedway and added another strong result to a season that has already stacked up at the top level of dirt late model racing. He stayed patient early, made the right move when the opening came and turned one mistake from the front into a race-winning opportunity.
Hoffman leads early
Hoffman set the pace for the first third of the race and looked ready to carry the lead deep into the feature. He held the front spot long enough to make Pierce work for it, and the battle between the two late model regulars shaped the middle part of the race. Pierce closed the gap and used the Turn 2 and Turn 3 sequence to get clear, then built enough space to settle in out front. The move changed the tone of the feature immediately. Hoffman stayed in the fight and took second, but he never got another clean chance to wrestle the lead back. That early run at the front showed the speed in his car, even if the final result did not match the opening stretch.
Pierce season success
The Sharon win was Pierce’s 17th World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory of the 2026 season, a mark that shows how often he has found the front this year. It also pushed his career total to 59 World of Outlaws wins, another milestone on a résumé that keeps growing. Those numbers fit the kind of night he put together at Sharon, where he stayed composed, found the right line and made the pass count when it opened up. The top five also featured Ryan Gustin in third, Tim McCreadie in fourth and Tyler Erb in fifth, giving the feature a strong lineup through the finish. Pierce left Sharon with another victory, another track trophy and another reminder of how hard he is to keep behind the field once he gets clear.
