Magic City Showdown Postponed at Nodak Speedway

NXTbets Pro | Published On: August 31, 2026

Magic City Showdown postponed

Thunderstorms and heavy rain hit Nodak Speedway on Sunday evening and forced the World of Outlaws and SLS Promotions to push the rest of the Gerdau Metals Recycling Magic City Showdown to Monday. The weather halted the program before it could finish, leaving the event to continue the next day under a new schedule. The postponement turned Sunday’s race night into a delay, but it kept the event on the calendar with the remaining action moved to Monday at the same track.

The decision came after conditions worsened at the speedway and made it impossible to finish the program safely. The World of Outlaws and SLS Promotions handled the move, and the event now shifts to a Monday finish at Nodak Speedway. That change gives teams and fans a clear path forward after the rainout, with the rest of the show set to resume once the track is ready.

Monday schedule at Nodak Speedway

Monday’s schedule begins with pit gates opening at 2 p.m. CT, followed by grandstand gates at 4 p.m. CT. Race//Ready Hot Laps are set for 6:30 p.m. CT, and racing is scheduled to follow after that. The updated timetable keeps the event in motion with a full evening program planned once the track opens to competitors and fans.

Tickets from Sunday’s race will be honored on Monday, giving fans the same admission value for the rescheduled night. That keeps the focus on finishing the Magic City Showdown under the revised plan and gives spectators a second chance to see the event play out at Nodak Speedway.
