Kofoid wins showdown
Michael Kofoid won the 30-lap World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series feature at Nodak Speedway in Minot, North Dakota, and the victory closed the Gerdau Metals Recycling Magic City Showdown. The finish gave Kofoid his 11th win of the season and his 33rd career World of Outlaws victory, and it moved him to the top of the series standings. The result came after thunderstorms and heavy rain forced the rest of the program to wait, with the World of Outlaws and SLS Promotions making the call to postpone the remainder of the show.
The closing laps featured repeated changes for the lead. Kofoid and Carson Macedo traded the top spot multiple times before the final corner.
Macedo pushes back
Carson Macedo started from the pole. The two drivers traded the lead multiple times late, and Macedo briefly retook the lead on the final lap with a slide job. Kofoid passed back underneath Macedo in the last corner to win the race.

The rest of the top five backed up the speed at the front. Sheldon Haudenschild finished third, Garet Williamson finished fourth and Spencer Bayston took fifth. The Magic City Showdown was complete after the weather delay that pushed the finish back.
