Eli Tomac said he will retire from professional Supercross and motocross racing after the final three SMX rounds, closing a 17-season career that began in 2010. The 33-year-old will finish the season with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing through the SMX Playoffs and the SMX World Championship Final in Ridgedale, Missouri. Tomac made the announcement after a 2026 campaign that included four 450SX main-event wins. He said his retirement decision was the hardest of his career. Tomac leaves with a résumé built on sustained success in Supercross, Pro Motocross and World Supercross, plus a long list of championship hardware that spans the 250 class and the premier 450 level. Tomac’s statistics tell the story of a rider who won across every major stage of the sport. He owns 57 career 450SX victories and 32 career 450MX wins. He has won two AMA Supercross 450SX titles and four AMA Pro Motocross 450MX championships. His earlier career also included the 2013 250MX title and the 2012 250SX West championship, which showed how quickly he moved through the ranks before he became a fixture in the premier class. Tomac added another line to that record in 2026 when he set a mark with his eighth Daytona Supercross victory. His 2024 FIM World Supercross SX1 title added an international championship to the list.
