Ricky Warner wins High Limit crew chief honor in August

NXTbets Pro | Published On: September 10, 2026

Ricky Warner award

Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing crew chief Ricky Warner won the Cometic Gasket Crew Chief of the Month Award for August in Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing. It was his sixth career Crew Chief of the Month honor, giving him the most awards in series history. Warner moved past former protege Eric Prutzman for the all-time lead.

August points haul

Warner’s award came from a month with driver Rico Abreu that produced 412 points in seven August events. Their results included a preliminary win at Silver Dollar Speedway, a runner-up finish in the Gold Cup Race of Champions and a $100,072 victory in that event. They also finished fifth in Oregon. The fifth-place result put the No. 24 back atop the championship standings.

September standings reset

Brent Marks finished second in the August standings, 21 points behind Warner. The award standings reset in September, so August’s total no longer carried into the next month’s race for the honor. High Limit Racing was scheduled to continue at Port Royal Speedway for the Tuscarora 50 before moving to Lucas Oil Speedway, Kokomo Speedway and Eldora Speedway later in the month. Warner entered that stretch with the August award in hand, while the No. 24 held the championship lead after the Oregon finish.
