Ridge & Sons Racing to use Medical Provisional for Aaron Reutzel at Texas Motor Speedway

NXTbets Pro | Published On: October 13, 2026

Reutzel Update

Reutzel will miss High Limit Racing’s All-In Championship Weekend at Texas Motor Speedway after a medical evaluation did not clear him to compete. The team must adjust its plans around his absence. Reutzel sustained injuries in Lakeside Speedway’s Heartland of America Showdown, and that injury keeps him out of action when the series heads to Texas.

The absence puts Reutzel’s health ahead of any track result. The team will use the series rulebook’s Medical Provisional while Reutzel remains sidelined.

Medical Provisional Details

Ridge & Sons Racing will use a Medical Provisional under the High Limit Racing rulebook, and that provision gives the team a scoring path while Reutzel remains sidelined. The rulebook formula awards team points based on Reutzel’s average finish plus five positions, which sets the group at 47 points per night and 94 points for the weekend.

The calculation gives the team a defined points result for the weekend while Reutzel is unable to compete. It does not put him back in the car, but it establishes the total under the rulebook.

The points total gives the team a measurable outcome while the larger focus stays on Reutzel’s recovery.

Ridge & Sons Focus

Team manager Ryan Wyant said the team’s season is complete and the focus has shifted to Reutzel’s recovery. That puts the driver’s health at the center of the operation as the team moves through the Texas weekend.

Wyant’s view makes the weekend a transition point for the team. It still has points to collect under the Medical Provisional, while the focus remains on Reutzel’s return to health.

The points provision covers the weekend on paper, but the team’s priority is Reutzel’s recovery. The race weekend remains important, and the team has identified what matters most going forward.
