Hinton’s BKFC surge
Rodney “The Animal” Hinton keeps building momentum in BKFC, and his next step comes against Ryan Jett at BKFC Fight Night Myrtle Beach. Hinton has won all three of his bare-knuckle bouts and has done it in fast fashion, with two of those victories coming by first-round knockout. He made the latest statement in April at BKFC 88, when he stopped Andrew Yates in 22 seconds. His fourth BKFC appearance gives him another chance to extend that start.
The matchup with Jett gives Hinton another test. The upcoming bout at Myrtle Beach Sports Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, keeps him on that same path, with another opportunity in front of him.
Hinton’s title chase
Hinton has said what he wants next. He has said he wants to become a two-division champion at 155 and 165 pounds, a target that shows how he views his place in the sport. The goal is ambitious, but his early BKFC work gives it some weight. A fighter who is unbeaten through three appearances and owns two first-round stoppages has already put himself in position to talk about bigger things.
He also has a longer horizon in mind. Hinton said he hopes to be 9-0 by the end of 2027. For now, though, the focus stays on Jett and the next fight in Myrtle Beach. The event will stream live on the BKFC App, giving Hinton another chance to pursue those goals.
