Sheldon Creed wins Homestead pole in final Haas Factory Team start

NXTbets Pro | Published On: November 7, 2026

Creed’s pole

Creed delivered the best lap in qualifying and put the No. 00 Haas Factory Team Chevrolet on the pole for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His lap of 33.578 seconds averaged 160.820 mph and gave him the sixth pole of his career. Creed also closed the gap in the tightest part of the session, edging Austin Hill by 0.039 seconds for the top starting spot. It was a sharp result for Creed in his final start with Haas Factory Team, and it gave him the clearest possible launch point for the championship race. The pole mattered on several levels. It put Creed at the front of the field for a 200-lap, 300-mile race, gave him the fastest lap in the session and sent him into the championship event with momentum from a clean, quick run. Qualifying rewards precision, and Creed found it when the pressure was highest. The margin was small, the speed was high and the timing was exact. He took care of the one lap that mattered most and earned the position every driver in the field wanted.

Homestead lineup

Hill will join Creed on the front row after qualifying second, and the rest of the top five set up a deep, competitive opening pack for the championship race. Carson Kvapil qualified third, Jesse Love took fourth and Brent Crews claimed fifth. That group gives the front of the field a strong mix of speed and position, with each driver landing close enough to the pole to stay in the fight from the start. The lineup also adds another layer to the points chase. Justin Allgaier entered the race as the points leader, carrying a 22-point edge over Love into the final event. Allgaier is set to start 11th, which places him behind several of the drivers trying to make up ground. That starting spot makes the race around him matter even more, since the front runners have a chance to pressure the lead in the championship picture from the green flag onward. Creed, Hill, Kvapil, Love and Crews will all begin within the first five rows, and that gives the race early shape before the laps start to narrow the field. The qualifying order shows how close the competition was across the session. It also shows how little room the title contenders have to settle in once the race begins. Every spot in the top five carries value, and every position behind them adds traffic and risk.

Championship race

The championship race was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET and air on CW, the ESPN App, MRN and SiriusXM. Those details frame the event, with the field set for 200 laps and 300 miles at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The distance gives teams time to adjust, but it also leaves little margin for mistakes once the race settles into its rhythm. Creed starts from the pole with the best possible track position, while Hill, Kvapil, Love and Crews line up immediately behind him. Allgaier, the points leader, starts 11th, and that places him in the middle of the chase as the title battle unfolds around him. The setup gives the race a clear structure. The front row belongs to Creed and Hill, the top five are packed tightly behind them and the championship leader does not have the same clean lane to begin the race. Creed’s final start with Haas Factory Team gives the pole extra weight, because the performance came in the last race of that partnership. The lap speed, the margin over Hill and the career milestone all came together in one qualifying run. The field now turns to the race itself, where starting position, pace and execution will decide the result at Homestead.
