Trackhouse investment
The team secured a significant minority investment from 1936, the London-based global sports and entertainment investment platform. The deal brought fresh capital to the team and was designed to support growth on track and in the market. Trackhouse said the money would help fund more spending on competition, brand building, storytelling and the Trackhouse experience. The financial terms and ownership split were not disclosed.
Trackhouse ambition
Trackhouse founder Justin Marks said the partnership reflects a shared belief in MotoGP’s global opportunity. Charlie Raposo said MotoGP has strong commercial growth potential and said Trackhouse has the ambition to become a top-performing franchise. The investment gave Trackhouse another backer as it tried to turn that vision into a bigger operation. Marc Lasry’s Avenue Sports Fund remains an investor in Trackhouse MotoGP.
Trackhouse context
The sale applies only to Trackhouse’s MotoGP operation, and the NASCAR team is not included. Trackhouse bought the MotoGP franchise in 2023 and entered the series in 2024 by taking over RNF grid places. It is now the only American-owned team at MotoGP’s top level. The move comes after Liberty Media acquired MotoGP in 2024. Trackhouse also won grands prix this season with both Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez.
