Max Verstappen has clawed back into title contention after some aggressive driving in Emilia-Romagna that saw him greet the checkered flag 6.109 ahead of Norris.
Driver Championship
The result saw Norris reduce the gap in the Drivers’ Championship to 13 points behind his teammate, Piastri. If any of the three leave Monaco with a victory, they could be the leader in the overall standings.
Imola produced mixed results for the Ferraris after both drivers exited in Q2. However, they upped their game on Sunday, with Lewis Hamilton delivering his best drive in the Italian car so far. Hamilton carries the momentum into the Principality, finishing inside the top three in the second practice session.
Charles Leclerc already has a podium finish this season, and returns to his home Grand Prix as the defending Champion. The local boy got his weekend off to a flier, topping both practice sessions on Friday.
